love my Skechers. bought one pair of shoes, bought another pair of shoes, decided to try the boots and I am very happy with them. Makes life easier for an old guy in a Canadian Winter.
Quality looks good.
First impression, they have laces you can’t tighten fused into the loop on the tongue. The “second laces” are like bungee cords. I removed all factory laces (had to cut flush with tongue loops) laced up with good boot laces and I love the fit of these shoes now. The leather uppers seem to be of good quality, I’ll treat them with some beeswax and see how well they last.
Although I have several other wet footwear, I bought these boots specifically for the “slip-in” feature. I have several Sketcher slip-ins and love them. With these boots I have to struggle to “slip-in” to them; in fact, it’s a fallacy to say I can “slip-in” to them. Indeed, I’m thinking of adding a “pull-on” tab at the heel to help pull them on, or resort to a shoe horn. My classic L.L. Bean rubber-bottom, leather-upper pacs, Muck Boot ankle and low cut rubber boots are easier to put on. Even so, I like these Sketchers. They are well-made and comfortable, and the sole provides very good traction. At a cost of $85 they are a good value. The “walkability” of the Sketchers for hiking is superior to the other boots I mentioned above. So, even though I’m disappointed by the difficulty (impossibility?) of “slipping-in” to these boots I like them for hiking in wet weather and prefer them for comfortable hiking and good traction to the other footwear mentioned above.
Great boots
I have been wearing these all winter in the mud and snow . My feet have never gotten wet. They are comfortable and durable . The slip in feature is awesome. I’m one of those people who is in and out of the house all day. Being able to just slip the boots on and off easily keeps me from getting into trouble for tracking mud and snow into the house.

I ordered these for my 78-year old dad, and he loves them! They fit the same as his other Skechers shoes. He successfully made it through a Michigan winter without falling and said they provided great traction.
A bit expensive but GREAT!
This past year, we visited Iceland, Greenland, and Antartica. I’m 280 lbs, 5’11”, 76. Basically an old fat guy. These ankle high Sketcher Slip In boots are beyond WONDERFUL. Sturdy, well made, easy on, easy off. Screw TSA, I can get them off and on in security lines. Seem to be waterproof, warm and very comfortable. Buy them.
