Great vacuum for what it was intended to do. I bought the MessMaster premium model and am very pleased with it. Like other reviewers, I use this to clean out hvac condensate drain lines and it does a mighty fine job. The suction is excellent and is actually comparable to my 9 gallon 4hp shopvac. If your expecting this vac to do be your only shop vac, the MessMaster is not for you. On the other hand if you need a light weight, specialty vacuum wth strong suction that handles small messes both wet and dry this is the machine for you. I have two other shark vacuums in my home, one battery powered and a corded model, and both have given me many years of good service.
They stand behind their warranties and their customer service is excellent. The MessMaster has a 3 year limited warranty. Shark makes excellent vacuums. I worked at a vacation rental condo and just about every cleaner had shark vacuums for a reason.
Got this Wet Dry Vacuum yesterday and it works like a charm. Powerful suction, easily assembled, easy to clean, does a great job and very durable and came with several attachments. Very powerful machine, so no need to hesitate if you are thinking above this machine. Glad I purchased it!
I’ve only had it a few days, so I’ll update if anything changes but in these few days, it’s put in a lot of work!
We recently moved into a larger house with high ceilings. This thing has GREAT suction. And comes with 3 extensions, so it can reach up higher than most vacuums. (I took a photo with the 3 pieces together beside the vacuum, without a tool attached) I haven’t used it to pick up liquid yet, but it’s been great with pet hair, hard to reach spider webs, etc. we live in northern Vermont and for 2 weeks in the fall get in an influx of Asian lady beetles. Swarms! And they try to get into your house for the winter. These 2 weeks are awful. They nestle together in corners and sometimes hard to reach places. The 2 weeks past and now the only ones around are the ones hibernating. So I was able to get the hundreds huddled in the peaks of ceilings, etc. They’re awful! And my other vacuums and dust busters had such a hard time picking them up. Not sure if their feet cling to surfaces or what. But this was a life saver.
There’s a dust cup, but says you can use any bag if you’d like for easier clean-up disposal. I like this because you usually have to buy specific bags. So far I’ve only used the dust cup itself without a bag.
My ONLY con is that the hose itself is on the shorter side. The extensions as well as the power cord are long, but with the hose being on the shorter side, sometimes certain angles are awkward to get with not enough bend and just the straight long extensions. Fortunately, it’s light and has a handle so you can hold the vacuum while using it if needed to get those angles.
Also comes with the squeegee suction tool for liquids, a larger brush tool “for hardwood floors” which worked great on carpet and furniture as well.
Outstanding tool! Easy to use. I had paid $400 to drain a secondary a/c pan and also suction out the drain pipe on one of our a/c units. Just started having the same problem with the other so thought I’d give this a try. It worked like magic, sucking up the water AND then I used it on the drain pipe and couldn’t believe how much gunk it pulled out. The suction is terrific. The 1.5 gallon receptacle is easy to take outside and dump. It’s also very easy for a smaller person like me to handle with ease. I rinsed off everything including the suction hose and it’s now waiting for next use. Truly impressed.
Awesome little shop vac
I have yet to own a Shark/Ninja product I didn’t love, and this is no exception. It does a great job. It’s designed well overall, but since this is essentially a shop vac my only wish would be that the hose were a bit longer (if you’re standing you have to hold it in your hand or have it on a nearby table for the hose to reach the ground–the tube extensions don’t help that either). This is nit-picky, but I wish the mesh filter inside the bin wasn’t so long. If you fill up the bin, especially with light material like pet hair or something, when you open the lid to empty the bin the mesh filter can spill some of the contents of the bin as it opens, which can be a minor annoyance.
