This blue star play mat is super soft. It’s a 71″59″1.3″ thickened foam situation, but you definitely have to give it like 24 hours to really fluff out after you unwrap it. There was a bit of that typical offsetting smell at first, but it faded pretty quickly so it wasn’t a huge deal.
It’s really cute for the nursery, and the non-slip bottom is great since it stays put. The velvety material is cozy enough that the dogs and cats have been trying to hijack it for naps, but it’s perfect for when babies need a padded spot to crawl around and for adults to sit on while watching said babies.
Soft and comfortable for playtime
This play mat feels soft and cushioned, which makes it a comfortable surface for kids to sit, crawl, and move around on. The padding has a nice balance where it gives support without feeling too firm, especially on harder floors. It creates a safer and more comfortable area compared to just using the floor directly, which is something I was looking for. The surface also feels smooth to the touch and doesn’t feel rough on hands or knees.The size is another plus since it covers a good amount of space and allows room for toys and movement without feeling cramped. It’s been useful for creating a dedicated play area without needing to rearrange too much.
Great for keeping young babies safe
This play mat works well for young babies who are learning to crawl, or roll over. I got the 71″ by 59″ which is 5.9 feet by 4.9 feet. It’s huge and a great size for babies who are moving a lot. We have hardwood floors so something like this is an absolute must have. It’s so soft and feels like walking on memory foam. It did have a slight smell when first open but it dissipated quickly. It’s very thick and even comfortable for me to lay on. The design is super cute too.
Soft, Well-Made Play Mat with Great Cushioning
This play mat has been great for our “sensory”-friendly home. The quality feels very good, with nice thickness and solid craftsmanship that makes it feel durable and well made. The design is beautiful without being too busy, so it blends in much better with our living room and kids’ play area. The size is another big plus since it gives plenty of space for play and fits nicely in our everyday family spaces. What I like most is the cushioning, especially because my neurodivergent toddler will sometimes randomly crash onto the floor, and this mat gives her a much softer and safer place to land. It has worked wonderfully for playtime, and just giving the kids a more comfortable surface overall. The price seems fair for the quality, although I do think it feels like an even better value when it is on sale or there is a coupon available.
Very nice, padded mat for kids to play on.
Wow the kids loved this. This went in a room without carpet for the baby to play on. Once this was put on the floor and the baby put on it, the baby just looked at the stars and bears and played around. Typically when put on the floor, he tried to get up off the floor because the floor is cold.
This is nice and thick. It’s not an inch thick, but maybe like 1/8 of soft padded type fabric. It’s almost like that top layer of a mattress pad.
It came in a vacuum sealed back and when the bag opened, it expanded. It’s nice and soft, and comfortable play on with the baby. I think it’s a good value as it can double as a play mat and a learning place. It’s easy to teach the alphabet as it’s printed on the mat.
As of this point, i haven’t had to clean it, so i cant say how it does in a washing machine, or with hand washed. It’s only a matter of time until a blowout or something gets spilled on it and it needs to be washed.
Soft Thick Mat W/Great Cushioning For Tummy Time & Crawling

This was just the right size for our child’s play pen. It’s a great replacement mat. It’s has much thicker foam than the original mat that came with the play pen. It’s perfect now that our child is starting to walk and move around more. It’s padded well enough to provide good cushioning if he falls. Our home is mostly hardwood floors and tile, only a few rooms are are carpeted, so the flooring isn’t very forgiving for a child. We’ve used it both in and out of the playpen. The bottom has silicone spots on it that help to keep it in place fairly well. It doesn’t slide around much when laid directly on our hardwood floors. The top is a velvet fabric. It’s fairly soft to the touch and seems to repel water fairly well. It feels durable. It’s held up well to being vacuumed. Most of the time we just wipe the surface off to clean it. Once we got it unboxed and unbagged the memory foam quickly expanded to it’s regular size and thickness. It’s listed as non-toxic and odorless. There wasn’t much of a smell, but we still let it expand and air out for a couple of days before letting him play on it. It’s a good price for a mat of this size.
