My son was looking at this item at a chain sporting goods store. When I searched it on Amazon, we were able to get it for $10 less. It’s a solid wood bat. My son can wreck a bat pretty quickly. This one has hung in so far. It’s maple, so that helps. We added grip tape to ours.
I had high hopes for this bat. I’ll tell you the pros and cons now since it is broken. Firstly, it is a good bat. Balls fly off and the sound on hits is like any other maple. Clean, clear, & loud. The sound is amazing.
Now for the cons… it broke after about 150 – 200 hits. Flexes a bit compared to solid all 1 piece wood bat.
Rawlings does stand by their warranty. Sent me a new replacement with Next Day shipping which is nice of them. However, a new warranty with my replacement doesn’t take effect. So, my new bat will probably become a display bat. Hope this helps.
