– le pad de gel au talon est la premire chose qui lche au travers du temps… mais il faut dire que je parcours des centaines de kilomtres avec ces chaussures
I bought my first pair of Nunn Bush dress shoes in February 2019. I wear these shoes 5 days a week to work. I have to walk in and out of buildings all day, in snow, in salt, in the rain, on ice, and in hot weather. I also walk all over inside buildings to do my job. I am finally buying a new pair of the exact same model in June 2022 over three years later. My first pair of shoes is still comfortable but the bottom of the shoes are finally wearing out and some stitching is coming out. Best pair of dress shoes I have ever owned.
For the money, best dress shoe I’ve ever owned.
I wear shiny black shoes wherever I go, so they have to be comfortable. When I’m at work, I have to walk between buildings. When I’m on a date, I like to look sharp. When I’m doing something casual, the shoes are still comfortable and go well with nice jeans and a tight T.
This shoe works for all of that.
I walk with a slight whip in my left leg, so the heel would always wear strangely. Not with these shoes.
Unlike normal dress shoes, it has a rounded heel up the center of the heel back-side, so no matter how you pronate, the rounded heal prevents you from wearing out the heel on one side or another. It keeps the heel strike centered and my shoe wears more evenly. Can’t sing the praises of this part of the shoe’s design enough. It is what sets it apart.
The padding is present, but not squishy, thus giving comfort and support without feeling like my socks are too thick.
Love these shoes.
I will be buying these shoes for a long time to come if they keep making them.
I never write reviews, but here I am because these shoes are perfect. I’m one of those people who don’t splurge and will wear out my shoes and clothes to the max so longevity and comfort are important to me. My last pair of dress shoes were completely worn out after 10+ years of use so you could imagine how nervous I was to buy dress shoes online not being able to try them on in a store like back in the day. I did a ton of looking and saw these, ordered a pair of the wide versions because of my wider feet and they fit perfectly.
I will say that you should order true to your foot size. I typically wear size 12 in most shoes due to my wider feet but my feet are actually 11.5, the size 12 in these were too long so I replaced them with my true size 11.5 and they are just right. They required zero break-in, instantly comfortable to wear all day. The soles are nice and soft and you could feel the softness under your toes as you walk, I’m a bigger guy at 265lbs so trust me when I tell you these are a great buy. I haven’t tested them long term yet but for the price and comfort, I don’t really care, I’ll buy one of these every few years if I have to. I just hope they extend the color range to include lighter browns as well, I’d like to get them in multiple tones.
I love Nunn Bush shoes. I bought my first pair at Kohl’s. I’m a class 8 truck sales consultant, and I’m on my feet all day in the office, shop, and the paved and unpaved parking lot. I dress business casual, and have to look good, yet need a shoe that is comfortable, looks great, tough, and are easy to clean. These shoes meet all of my specifications.
They look great. All of the Nunn Bush line is very stylish. The gel in the heel and great arch support, as well as the impact absorbent sole and insole work together to make them the most comfortable dress/casual shoes I’ve ever used. These shoes are also tough. Aside from walking around in the office, the shop where there’s dirt, oil, etc. on the floor, I also have to walk in a dirt/gravel lot, and climb onto, in and out of semi trucks all day. Their steps are metal with slightly sharp edges for grip. The sole of these shoes do not get cut, do not allow the rough surface to be felt through the shoe, and have a great grip. They also are very easy to clean. Many quality leather dress/casual shoes are very hard to clean and maintain, and once you get them a little wet or dirty, are basically ruined. The first pair I bought are brown, and even though I would get them dirty, muddy, and a little wet, I could scrub them clean, clean the leather with some saddle soap, and after a nice shine with a coat of shoe polish, would end up looking great.
These black ones are VERY shiny. Much more shiny than I expected. The first week, they looked like fake hard plastic. But after I got them dirty a couple times and broke them in, they have a nice shine that’s not too bright. These black ones are extremely easy to clean, I just have to wipe them down with a damp towel, and they look perfect. If they’re really dirty, I use mild dish soap and scrub them with a soft brush, then use a towel, and they still look great.
These are probably the most comfortable, good looking, tough, and easy to clean shoes on the market. They’re a great deal for the price, and you won’t be disappointed.
