Reviews that say they don’t light up, probably didn’t take the little plastic thingy out from the inside. Reviews that say they don’t fit a 4 x 4 post, probably didn’t take the adapter bracket out from the part that fits over the post. We know because we didn’t think they were going to fit, then we thought they weren’t going to light up. But once you figure things out, they fit great, they are easy to install, anre anttractive and the lights ARE VERY BRIGHT. So, if you have a small deck and don’t want it to be too bright, these are not the lights for you.
Loving this product so far- installed 4 days ago. Installation was easy- thanks to other reviews that said to remove the inner 3in post adapter before using the 4in. I love that I can screw the post topper into the wood support beam, and not just the side piece. They came with the necessary rechargeable batteries, and all lights as a adapter pieces looked good, without chips/ dents/ scrapes… All of the units worked as soon as I installed them. I installed them, out of the box, at 5pm, and the lights came on and stayed lit until well after 10pm. I’m not sure how long they stayed lit for- but I’m very pleased. The light is just for ambiance, so if you are expecting to use them to light a path- they don’t illuminate well. The photos are from the first night, with minimal sun exposure.
Look beautiful, all work great, just enough light to light up area immediately near just enough. Solar is great even with trees shading. Look so nice and easy to install. Definitely increased beauty of fence.
These actually exceeded our expectations. I don’t know how long they’ll last and even if they only last two years they’re still more than well worth it. Excellent quality and look to them right now and they’re really easy to install you just pull the Caps off your old fence post and put these on and I just drilled one hole and then put one screw in just to make sure they don’t fly off in high winds and they’re beautiful. We bought over 100 and they all worked
