You must mount to a stud. Check the VESA pattern & weight. Good quality. Good value.
It’s almost hard to believe a monitor mount is made that can extend almost 28 inches! It has to be quite sturdy to do that, and it appears that this one is. Having such an extension gives you a lot of flexibility for viewing at different angles and distances. It’s been great getting the mount off my desk; more space and less vibration of the monitor for every little jar or bump. I was careful to check the specs. You absolutely have to make sure you have the correct VESA pattern of 75×75 or 100×100 and that you are within weight limits (17.6 lbs. max). The quality is very good. I learned after ordering that some people had some trouble with the gas spring, but I haven’t. You MUST install this into a stud. Wall anchors won’t do. You need a drill. The hardware has been provided.
The mount swivels, tilts, moves from side to side, extends and retracts. That is a lot of flexibility. I think it looks great; really high tech, but most importantly for me it is highly functional. The price is quite reasonable for what you are getting. This company has been my source for all my TV mounts and I haven’t been disappointed. Good buy, good value.
