quality of object is excellant, assembly is easy, mounting is problematic.
hints: the object can be ‘dry assembled’ which I recommend, all the end grain should be treated with a ‘end grain sealant’ to prevent rot. I did not like the sheet of asphalt shingle used on roof. (it stinks!) don’t know what a woodpecker smells. The mounting screws are far to small for tree mounting. (ok for flat mounting surface. The birding community believes these should be mounted between 20-40 feet in the air, the sellar says 10 feet is ok. In any case, that is a lot of ladder to drag into the woods.

The owl box comes in really nice packaging. The instructions were easy to follow and assembly was easy & fast. Looks great and can’t wait to put outside and see if an Eastern Screech Owl uses it.
Very nice owl house. Well packaged. Everything fit well. Easy to put together with good directions! No missing parts or cracked wood. I like that it is cedar, so it should stand up to the elements. Just hope a screech owl finds it and takes up residencewe have screech owls in the neighborhood. The only thing I did different is that I used a little wood glue in addition to the screws.
