stop looking, get this one
SO easy to install, just make sure you’re using a stud finder. This is tall enough, long enough, and strong enough to contain my dogs. My small dog, a chiweenie, is able to squeeze underneath, but I think that’s just because it’s pretty long, not much you can do about that other than putting tracks around it. It’s so easy to use and lock, my golden retriever mix can put her paws up (though we discourage that) and it stays, no issues of tearing or ripping anywhere. It looks so much better than any baby gate would and works really well. Worth the money, I will be buying it again if needed.

Great - but at your own risk...
This is one of those products that is very useful, but still, I feel like it’s only a matter of time before it gets recalled for safety reasons, danger of kids trying to crawl under and getting stuck. Similar gates without the vertical struts have been recalled for exactly that. So I would say, consider carefully and use at your own risk, I assume nothing from no-name brands on Amazon has been safety tested or certified whatsoever.

For everyone’s sleep, we needed a tall, long fence for my half-monkey half-houdini child with all the ability to climb out of the crib and none of the maturity to stay in bed more than 5 min. (Yes there are other strategies to address that problem but I won’t go into everything we tried and why different things didn’t work for our situation.). Basically built one and used this as the gate / one of the sides. Made sure there is a “track” that the gate follows so that there is something preventing my kid from attempting to crawl or stick limbs under the mesh – if I was going to have him in his room overnight with this, I didn’t want to take any chances of him getting trapped. That was a success.

However, we discovered that if we forget to lock the gate extension mechanism, he can lean all his weight on the mesh and bend it enough that somehow the handles of the gate unlatch and the whole thing pops open. I imagine the same would be true no matter where/how you install it, so keep that in mind, especially if you plan to get a long gate – you’d pull the gate all the way to the handles to shut it, then need to walk back to the spool side to lock it from extending/retracting. And for the tall gates, yeah you could hook them on the handles with one hand, but in reality it takes some coordination and I end up using two hands.

Still was a great solution for us.
