    Perfect fi
Fit my 2000 F250 like a glove. The only thing bad to say, is I could not find written instructions in the box or online. The only instruction was a YouTube video, which was ok, but I am not a fan of video instructions

Big job went well. Needed to evacuate AC and recharge. I plow on my my land, there is no air flow pushing snow banks , this solves my prob; if I was to drive empty on a frigged Ontario Winter, one will need a rad blanket. No quality issues, none. Ready to tow 5th wheel 4 sure.

    2001 7.3L F550 Bucket Truck
Did the trick. Never could run the A/C because my truck would begin to raise the trany temps way to high. My truck weights 16k 24/7. Even when it was hot out, I had to keep an eye on trany temps to make sure it did not go over 180 Deg. This one is the answer. The factory cooler is way to small. Cheaper than a new trany replacement by far.

Well worth it, would rate 4.5 if I could.
Works great! Huge difference in temperature! Only problem, NOT DIRECT BOLT ON! 1999 F250 7.3L. Bottom bolts did line up, top “ears” did not. Ears should be offset and they are centered. Also the cross supports that the ears bolt to had to be modified to hold a speed nut. Saw one other gentleman on here mention the same problem, so not sure if it is a year thing or a part thing, but this is the exact model number Mishimoto’s website recommended for a 99 Superduty. Getting the pre-clamped lines with adaptors made things easier. Make it easy on yourself and just pull the bumper, headlights, header panel, and condenser. Then worry about the cooler. It takes no time to remove or put back. Get a pack of speed nuts. You’ll need them. I lost/broke 3.

    01 F-250 , 7.3L Hualing 11000 lb 5th wheel.

I purchased this transmission cooler because my pick up transmission was getting way too warm going over the mountain passes here in Oregon

This cooler fit in the replacement area perfectly, I chose to install it from above as I already had my radiator off while I was replacing my fan clutch. Biggest negative issue I had with installation was the threaded clips kept coming off and once the coolers in place, they are a real pain to get the upper ones back on. The hoses are made of a kind of soft rubber. They can kink easy but I was able to route them and zipped tied in place because my radiator was already out.

The driver side hose was too short to fit into the existing hose clip on the frame. I just routed it directly to the transmission radiater cooler line. Took 17 quarts to fill transmission

I think I’m going to remove the plastic cowling at the top in front of the radiator every year to hose this cooler fins off.

I will update this review next month after I take my 5th wheel on a 1200 mile upcoming trip .

Diring my non mountain 1200 mile rought the transmision got no warmer than 145 deg. Even in heavy slow freeway traffic. I am very happy with results.

Recent 600 mile run with 11,000 lb 5th wheel the transmission got up to 155 deg in hot weather with slow traffic.

Update – 2 years with cooler installed and transmission still stays at 155 max in any towing conditions . But 1/2 the credit staying cool belongs to the new fan clutch , I hear it operating all the time . I hardly ever heard the factory one operate.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersJust WOW!!
Was always curious about the hype on this transmission cooler for my 2000 7.3 excursion. Bit the bullet and purchased. Came in the mail next day and took about 4.5 hours to install. Filled with fresh ATF and drove around in the hills. I was shocked how the temperature stayed around 128 Fahrenheit at full operating temperature. Typically itd be around 180-190. Wish I did the upgrade when I first bought my excursion years ago! 10/10 recommend! Would also recommend getting extra clamps to double up as the mishimoto clamps are not the best. Outside temperature was 76 Fahrenheit. Lastly, I did not cut the excess hose. Don’t cut and just zip tie it to a secure spot.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersGreat Upgrade to the Trans cooling system 1999 F250 Superduty
Arrived packaged superbly, no damage upon unboxing.

Easy installed with basic hand tools and common sense. I removed and replaced the a/c condenser as well.

Utilizes mounts in stock location and moves the core further up into the airflow instead of behind the bumper as the factory unit was located.

No need to be concerned about the earlier hose failure as the unit came with some very nice quality hoses appropriately sized.

This is the unit that Ford should have outfitted the truck with in the first place.

I was experiencing trans temps up to 220 + in stop and go traffic. I have purposefully run the snot out of the truck a couple times and have only seen 165 on the gauge in the same traffic conditions.

Well worth the cost vs a tranny replacement.

    Very recommended upgrade
This product is an excellent upgrade to my pickup. Heat kills an automatic transmission and this bolt in replacement will multiply the cooling capacity multiple times. Very much recommend this.
