From the brand

These are absolutely perfect for storage. I got 13 carousel boxes down to 1 compact box. I scanned them all, so they’re digital. (Great kodak scanner to laptop here on Amazon) Feeling so organized!
Gave them a five star as this box is well made and should keep several hundred slides for years to come.
Having said that, I will need a total of about six of these boxes to house all our color slides. We have roughly 4,500 slides. These boxes are way overpriced. I will have laid out about $400 for slide boxes by the time I get done. Other than being high priced, the boxes are quite nice.
This is a wonderful way to store slides. All those little boxes can be thrown out. Different categories are easily divided with the enclosed dividers. Easy to apply sticky notes with descriptions
My stepdad had 30 carousels with slides that take up a lot of storage space. We bought three of these so that my mom had easy access to the slides.
Very Sturdy, comes with dividers that can be labeled and doesn’t take up very much space.
This is the simplest and most space efficient way to store those old 35mm slides that you just can’t bring yourself to throw away. Yes, you might digitize them **someday**, but for now this is a good way to get them out of those old carousels. I previously had my 35mm slides in plastic slide pages in 3-ring binders (20 slides to a page) but plastic is not the best way to store them long-term.
As others have noted, this set is pretty pricey for what you get, but that’s what the manufacturer charges (not Amazon’s idea) as seen on other sites. I don’t know if archival-grade cardboard is much different than regular cardboard (except for being acid-free), but since this did what I needed it to do, I purchased it. In the end, I deducted 1 star for the high price, but it was the best alternative to storing several hundred 35mm slides.
