Designed to fit vehicles within the 192–201-inch range, it is suitable for a wide variety of mid-to-large-sized SUVs; provided you accurately measure your vehicle’s length beforehand to ensure a proper match, the overall coverage is quite effective. I consider the thickened EVA padding to be one of its most appealing features; unlike those flimsy, standard car covers, this one feels substantial to the touch. In the event of a hailstorm, it provides a significant degree of cushioning and protection—offering particularly noticeable benefits for vulnerable areas like the roof and hood. This cover says it can resist cherry-sized hail, and I actually think that is realistic. It was easy to put on with my husband’s help, and I bought the 182-191 inch size based on the dimensions of my 2024 Mustang Mach-E, and it fits perfectly.
I like that the padded foam areas cover all the spots most likely to get hit, including down the top half of the sides. It also has a handy tag clearly labeled “Front,” which makes it much easier to get positioned correctly. For the price, I think this is a reasonable purchase and much cheaper than those hail dome things. I would not use it year-round because it does not feel quite durable enough for that, but I am glad to have it on hand since we do not have enough garage space for all three vehicles. The reflective stripes on the front and back are also nice if you are parking on the street. I plan to use it often and will update my review once I have gone through an actual hail storm.
Good quality coverage for small hail
I drive a Cadillac XT5, which measures 189.5 inches. Still, I intentionally sized up to this cover to accommodate a future roof rack and to have a little extra coverage during heavier storms. It fits well regardless.
