Still Going Strong After 2+ Years
We’ve had this automatic trash can in our bathroom for over two years, and it’s been fantastic. The motion sensor is reliable, so you never have to touch the lid, which is especially convenient in a bathroom. The battery lasts a long time, and after more than two years of daily use, we’ve had zero issues. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes everyday life a little easier.

My dog has this obsession of shredding facial tissues. My previous garbage can had no lid so he had no problem finding his “treasure” and shredding it all over the house. We had recently moved and finding the right garbage can for the kitchen was a challenge until I saw this product. I purchased the two product option and one is in my kitchen and one in the bathroom. The one in the kitchen is perfect – for example, you have a handful of scraps and when you approach, the sensor opens the lid and you drop the scraps into the garbage can. They are a small size, but perfect for my needs. The other tucks beside the toilet and the sink.
The dog, of course stays away!!! Yeah!!! But it makes me laugh/giggle when you are near it and it opens and closes. Perhaps I am weird, but I did purchase three more as gifts for my dear friends and they get a kick out them too.
They are very functional and useful. I highly recommend this product. Even if they don’t make you smile!
These are awesome! Have had them for a month now. The design is perfect for mine and my sister’s tiny bathrooms. Have had no issues with it not working (opening and closing). The value was awesome. These are sturdy and well built. It’s quiet. It is a roomy 5 gal. My sister is handicapped and loves the no touch design.
I’ll start off why I only gave 4 stars and that’s only because there’s no off and on switch which makes the taking out the trash bag part a little annoying since it’s got a sensitive sensor. That being said I do love these little 5 gallon trash cans they fit perfectly in the space between my sink and toilet. They’re black so it’s super discreet! They’re easy to set up they only require 2 AA batteries! The quality is nice it’s plastic which suits a bathroom perfectly to avoid oxidizing. Overall I do love these so much and I do recommend them except do note the lids are on the sensitive side.
