As a mom of two, this blender has been a lifesaver. I use the 500ml chopper to make quick weeknight meals like meatballs and salsa, and the smaller cup is ideal for homemade baby food. The different attachments mean I don’t have to pull out multiple appliances, which saves so much counter space. It’s quiet enough that it doesn’t scare the baby, and cleanup takes less than 2 minutes. If you’re a busy parent, this is a must-have!
More than just an immersion blender!
I ordered this to have an immersion blender and got so much more. This can replace some of the other small appliances/gadgets I have, such as my mini food processor and milk frother. I absolutely love the double chopper/processor this comes with. You have the option to process smaller quantities or larger or both at the same time! The whisk and mixer attachments are also convenient when making a smaller batch that doesn’t require my hand or stand mixer. I can’t wait until soup season this fall to really put the immersion blender attachment to work! This set is a really great value.
Impressively powerful and versatile immersion blende
This is an incredible all-in-one solution to those many culinary challenges I face. I’ve had my old faithful immersion blender for years, and I typically use it for smoothing out my marinara sauce or seafood bisque, or for whipping up some heavy cream on short notice. This set not only does these basics, but also offers the food processor accessories that open up the door to so many other possibilities! Need a quick hollandaise or homemade mayo? No problem! Want to quickly emulsify a vinaigrette? Done and done! Another handy inclusion is the pourable blending carafe. Absolutely love the fact that I got this!
Very nice. I have already made mayonnaise with this, and it worked perfectly. I cannot wait to use the food processor attachment next. The unit is lighter than my older one and has a thinner blade, but it still performs well and feels balanced in the hand.
Be careful not to lose the small black attachments used for connecting the frother, whisk, mixer, and food processor accessories. They are essential for switching between tools and fit securely once attached.
One note, and I included a picture: the unit arrived as an open box. This was a bit disconcerting at first. Everything inside was wrapped neatly and appeared brand new, but the outer box had clearly been opened before shipping. Despite that, all parts were present and undamaged.
Overall, this is a welldesigned, versatile hand blender set that makes food prep easier. It’s powerful, lightweight, and includes everything needed for blending, whisking, frothing, and chopping.
amazing, especially for the price.
I picked this up mainly for making salsa, but I’ve already found a bunch of other uses for it. The immersion blender works well and blends quickly without making a huge mess. I really like that it comes with several attachments, especially the chopper cups, which make prep work easier. The motor seems powerful enough for smoothies and sauces, and everything feels sturdy for the price. It is definitely a little heavy but I didn’t find that an issue when using it over the pot blending the salsa ingredients. It is definitely powerful because I used the lowest setting and it ate right through a raw onion and jalapeno very quickly. I’m also super excited about the attachments as I’ve always had to mix batter by hand so having a blender/beater type attachment is fantastic. The attachments are easy to swap out and cleanup is pretty simple, so far I’ve just removed everything and thrown it in the dishwasher. I also appreciate that it doesn’t take up nearly as much space as a full-size blender. For the price this feels like a good value and gives you so many different functions.
It works but with smaller portions
The first time I tried this I used it to “separate” date paste, which hardens and gets pretty solid over time. I needed it in smaller chunks to be able to freeze as it’s very inconvenient to use it when it’s in one solid block because of how hard it is to get the right portion or amount. It gets that hard. So I let it out of the fridge overnight and the next morning I got chunks of it to be able to fit them in the larger chopper cup. A pleasant surprise was the double-chopper ability this machine has, you can chop a larger amount in the bottom and a smaller one at top. Never seen anything like it and I’ve never had or even used a chopper, ever, so this was very surprising to see. So, I placed a mix of lemon juice and other chunks of date paste to make my lemonade blend. It was obvious pretty quickly I wasn’t going to be able to do both at the same time. Even at about 1/2 full, the top cup was, apparently, too full or the blades too strained because the lids and locking mechanism on both the top and bottom cups went everywhere. I had to stop and proceed with just the bottom one. Then that one “failed.” The lid came undone also. Again, since I’ve never used one of these appliances before, I didn’t know if I was supposed to hold the whole thing down hard? let the machine tell me if I needed to readjust/remove contents? Don’t know, but I had to remove pieces and/or make them smaller several times.
I was finally able to get the smaller date chunks (they look like ground beef). I then proceeded with the lemon juice/date lemonade mix and that took a while too.
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if a machine like this is supposed to act this way. Now I’m wondering what to try this with again so I have better results. Is the key a more empty bowl? Does there need to be liquid in it to work? I wish it came with instructions or even better graphics than the 4 pages-worth it came with. A booklet answering the above questions would have been appreciated.
Despite my issues with it, I honestly cannot believe this product is offered for well under $40. It has so many accessories for so many different applications, once I use each once I’m pretty sure I won’t want to use my big blender again. I think it’s worth the try!
