Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersHot Fudge, Anyone?
My husband loves soft-serve ice cream! I saw this attachment used in a television cooking video and, as the price was right, I decided to try it out. The attachment is of the quality that I expect from KitchenAid. The directions were easy to follow, and while the attachment does not come with a recipe book, there are hundreds of recipes to be found on-line. I would caution the user to read all the directions and follow their suggestions as if they were dictates. In doing so, my mixer produced a perfect, creamy soft serve with this attachment and did so in just twenty-eight minutes!

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersBlue liquid leaking from bottom of back-to-back purchases
Update: after riding my review I received correspondence from the seller and was given a full refund. I’m very for surprised. High quality customer service is rare these days. I fully plan on staying a loyal customer.

I received this KitchenAid attachment at a gift exchange this Christmas 2024. I was pleased with it until on my third time using it I noticed a blue liquid leaking from the bottom. Didn’t think much of it assumed maybe I had made the mistake of cleaning it with hot water while frozen or I had let it stay frozen too long. I decided to purchase a replacement on Amazon. This is the second time I’ve used it and upon first check it has the blue liquid leaking from a crack in the bottom once again. Of course it’s too late to get a refund or return so congratulations you got me good. I’ll update you if anything changes but for now I would recommend you steer clear from this ice cream maker.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersAmazing Ice Cream Maker Attachment Great Price, Zero Hassle, and Seriously Good Results
I’ve been using this ice cream maker attachment with my KitchenAid mixer, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my KitchenAid. I was originally eyeing the name-brand version, but this one was significantly more affordable—and it works just as well, if not better.

First off, the value is unbeatable.

You’re getting a fully functional, high-quality attachment at a fraction of the cost of the KitchenAid-branded version. There’s no leaking, no rust, and it runs smoothly even at lower speeds, which is ideal for properly churning delicate ice cream bases.

    Quick How-To:

Freeze the bowl for 15–24 hours (I keep mine in the freezer when not in use).

Prep your ice cream base and chill it.

Attach the frozen bowl and dasher to your mixer.

Turn your mixer on low before pouring in your base to avoid freezing to the sides.

Churn for about 25–30 minutes for a perfect soft-serve consistency.

Transfer to a container and freeze longer if you want a firmer, scoopable texture.

    Performance:

We’ve made vanilla bean, mint chip, strawberry, mango sorbet, and even dairy-free coconut ice cream—and they all came out fantastic. It churns evenly and stays cold long enough to get a nice, fluffy texture. No mess, no splashing, and the dasher is easy to clean.

    Pros:

Much better price than the name-brand version

No leaking, rusting, or odd noises

Works perfectly at low mixer speeds

    Makes delicious, creamy ice cream

    Easy to clean and reuse

Fun and useful for family dessert nights

    Final Thoughts:

If you have a KitchenAid mixer and love making desserts, this is an absolute must-have. It performs like a premium attachment, costs a lot less, and delivers consistent, delicious results. We use it all the time, and it’s paid for itself in savings and smiles.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersWorks well, but needs spare drive gears.
The attachment does work and makes ice cream very quickly, but if you use a mix that freezes too fast it will overload the little drive gear and the gear will break. They do not include a replacement. I had to return the whole unit to get a new one. I then made a silicone mold of that gear and have cast replacements from epoxy.

They should include at least one spare gear and then sell little 5 packs of replacements.
