can’t really tell if this additional panel is working like it should.I have the factory panel on my 5th wheel and wanted to add this for my new 4 100ah lithium batteies.Haven’t had a change to put it to work yet.My solar controller is only showing 14v ins so maybe if i used the batteries itll change my amp reading or volts in.Not sure. But good quality for the price.
The panel works very well, and I have been experimenting with a couple of ways of powering/charging equipment: First way, is it connected to a Eco-Sources MPPT 20amp charge controller, charging a single 12v 100 AmpHr sealed gel cell battery for my amateur radio equipment, and as a back up power source to a future hybrid inverter charger/controller that will run the furnace and a few other circuits during normal times, and automatically in times of power outages without needing to run a generator for the first 4/6/8 hours, battery/solar dependent.
I added a second 12v 100 AmpHr battery in parallel to see how it would charge, and it is doing a good job of charging and maintaining the batteries so far, even in Kentucky’s solar average of 4.5 sun hours per day.
The other way I have it connected, is to a 300watt mini Grid Tie inverter and a watt meter from the charge controllers 12v output. Then switching and connecting and comparing the inverter connected straight to the panel, but still compiling the results on that.
I just recently purchased my second 100 watt HQST panel, and switching the same setup above to 24v mode, but the weather has not been favorable to run any comparative experiments as yet.
I will note, that my second HQST panel is the same model and spec as my first, but they have a slightly different cell/string solder patter to it, as I purchased them about two months apart. This does bother me for what I’m using them for, but if you needed visual uniformity in your array, do purchase them all at the same time I would say.

great product & value
This is a fantastic solar panel compared to the rest. If compared to other brands, this is a better performance panel at a better price than the competitors. Even the acclaimed Renogy solar panel is the equivalent panel but for more money. And this panel is slightly smaller and weighs less for the same output! The build quality is better, hands down. Will Prowse of YouTube fame did a comparison and this was his favorite pick! This polycrystaline panel is a better choice than the monocrystaline version because the power difference is negligible and the cost is less. I highly recommend getting at least one of these solar panels to all my friends because they’re the best. Buy this panel
Waiting to try out.
Just received panel not used it yet as weather has changed to give it a try, you will also need to order extra leads and crocodile clips to connect to battery also a charger controller if you want to see how much its charging. Fingers crossed its ok.
