Heavy duty, obviously heavier in hand than the typical potato masher, very well made, beautiful piece actually if we can go there talking about potato mashers. Haven’t used it with anything other than potatoes yet, but wide application – fruits for jam/preserves/compote, guacamole, refried beans, creamed soups, and just keep going.
I bought this for my bf bc he became the honorary guacamole maker for the family. He would mash the avocados with a fork and was totally ok with it. I wanted my perfect guacamole to be done faster, and scrounged Amazon for the perfect one. He LOVES it. It is all one really dense piece and the shipping is definitely worth the wait. It is easy to clean and it will not break. You can even use it as a weapon lol. He said he wants to make mashed potatoes now just for the heck of it. It allows you to mash a large amount in a short amount of time. This is the masher you want.
Very sturdy but odd loop handle limits hanging on narrow well of hooks.

This is the best potato masher on the planet. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever spend this much on a potato masher, but here we are.
My old cheap black plastic one was starting to wobble – after many years, the handle was coming loose from copious amounts of mashing and was not fixable. So I needed a new one and looked into ones that were one solid unit, versus a masher and handle stuck together like my old one. And came across this beauty. It’s absolutely divine. A single piece of gorgeous metal, designed to outlive the next four generations. It is weighty and smooth and does an amazing job. The edges are all smoothed over and it is polished up so nicely that it is very easy to clean, despite being used for sticky things and having lots of crevices.
I love it and have catered my meal planning to try to include it as often as possible, because it is that great. So we mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, cannellini beans, garbanzo beans, peas, carrots, and break up ground meat, etc etc. It is truly a masterpiece.
I never thought I’d have a love story to tell about a masher. Everyone that mashes things deserves the fine artistry of this piece. So if you find yourself needing a masher and balking at the price of this like I did, do yourself a favor and just get it. It is 100% worth it.
Works better than any other mashe
Very nice design. Sometimes form does follow function and this is one example. More importantly, it works brilliantly. I had never realised before getting this just how much extra effort you need to use because most mashers flex. This one is rock solid and perfectly shaped for use in a round pan. Cant see how it would be improved without providing a sous chef to wield it for me. Expensive but worth it.

Really makes mashing em easy with its rounded face. And it a really good weight and good tool. This ain’t some supermarket junk shelf item it’s a quality kitchen tool made to last.
