This cover is very bulky but thankfully it comes with a storage bag for when it’s not in use. It’s a decent thickness of material and seems durable and decent quality. It’s easy to put on your vehicle and should do a good job protecting it from hail or other weather. It also has reflective stripes on the mirrors for added visibility in poor weather conditions.

Fit my SUV well. Easy to put on and take off. Has saved me from storm damage a few times already. Folding up for storage is a 2 person task. It also needs to hang up to dry after a rain. I wish it came with a storage bag.
Thick padded hail cover seems fully up to task. Bulkier than I expected ! It’s not super thick but has layers and sort airy. Imagine hail hitting thin matress pad – tissue is sewn in solar fashion creating little puffy areas sort of. Comes with big sleeping bag sized storage bag – which is cause it’s bulky! ( this drawstring stay doesn’t work great but was easily replaced- could be tied) .Had no problem getting it back into bag after checking it out, though!! Hail is concern for me during to having Glass roof on my suv .Falling pine cones too ,for that matter, maKe me nervous at my cabin too! I installed a roof basket just to offer some chance of breaking the fall of pine cone direct hits but during storms I always worry. The size of this works for my LR4 and fits well enough over the basket for me – enough roof coverage that I can breathe easy. The silver color is reflective but in white outs might not be best on road parked vehicle but what IS Really? There are reflector strips AT corners & side mirrors. I am NOT street parked often NOR ever on busy streets. I WOULD concider other brIght color straps or something if I were! MAYBE-FLORESCENT STRAPS to go around cab or something. What I like- Well sown ,( thought it had loose threads at first but they were just cut pieces not attached to cover at all – maybe clung on during packing at factory) Big storage bag ! Short Elastic straps sewn in to cover , plastic hanger shaped strap fixing pieces – for customized fit + two long adjustable straps to use however works for your vehicle . Soft interior cloth- no scratch worry may even polish a bit;) . Waterproof silver exterior with large diamond stiching to hold layers together and create pillowing. Overall I feel some looseness is better than super tight to glass or roof some extra air underneath here and there will help like hail hitting plastic bag sort of thing. Now if large crazy Texas sized hail was expected I would probably want thicker pad… however that would mean more bulk everytime- to me thats kinda of a bummer for sporadic occurances. So I plan to use additional padding / like the soft thick very flexible white packing foam used to pack large flat items. I’ve been saving the large sheets we get. They can lay across windshield under the wiper blades & get slipped in across the roof before tightening cover down etc.. this
