The lamp has a place of honor on my deck, where it swirls with color on holidays, and provides nice warm white illumination the rest of the time. Easy to assemble, and with typical Govee reliability and quality. The water back provided for weight is a novel solution, but it works.
I absolutely love this Govee Outdoor lamp post. The quality is outstanding, it’s extremely sturdy with great weight to it so it can withstand the extreme wind, cold, rain and snow of NW Iowa. It’s already been tested through blizzard conditions with over 50mph winds and still ran flawlessly. My only real gripes would be the price is a little high for my budget, otherwise I would have bought two more! The other one is my only ding for the lamp would be that I wish it was a little higher up. This lamp puts on a great light show if you want, or just a steady bright color of your choice. Right now I have it matching my Govee Outdoor lights which is why it’s jumping around in the video. Thanks again Govee for the great product!
Great product, but it needs a diffuser or some way to soften the lights. This is a reoccurring concern for me with Govee outdoor lights: they’re awesome but blinding because there’s no shield or diffuser, and it’s just super bright LEDs. The ground effect is great, and it’s tall, but it’s not so tall that you won’t be looking into the LEDs often. It’s also not obvious how to make the motion detection mode work. If the device is turned off, it doesn’t seem to detect motion even with that setting enabled for the time of day. But if the light is powered on, it’s already on, so it’s not activating based on motion. These are the only reasons it’s not 5 stars.
Otherwise, easily 4 stars. The pole is solid (and would be expensive to buy on it’s own), and it’s sturdy. I appreciate the different stabilization options.
I would buy it again, but I wish they’d make and sell an add-on diffuser.
I slapped this Govee lamp post outside, and now my backyard parties look like Coachella’s chill cousin. Bright, colorful, and smartly lit. The RGBIC zones and prism tech banish the dead spots, while the sensors save me from fumbling with switches in the dark. It survived a torrential downpour AND a heatwave (Florida, it’s you I’m looking at), and is still standing proud. Sure, it isn’t cheap, but for dynamic lighting that’s voice-controlled, weatherproof, and sleek it’s worth every penny. Just be ready to impress your neighbors.
