The piping gun is a bit difficult to use
The piping gun is very stiff and for the frosting I used so I’ll probably stick with piping bags in the future. I’m not sure if it’s always that stiff or if there’s something I was doing wrong.
It was a little messy to fill, but nothing terrible. The tips work well and the printed guide included showing what shape each one makes is very helpful. There are some tools I don’t recognize and there was no included list or instructions to help me figure it out.
Overall, if someone doesn’t have an extensive tip set and is looking for decorating tools, this is a good kit.

Great organization/storage
My daughter and I love to bake, and nothing is better than having an organized baking set. This 209-piece decorating kit is amazing. It has so many different styles of tips and accessories, all easily stored in a tackle box type storage container. Being able to store everything in this container is perfect. And it is small enough that I can keep it in the cabinet above my refrigerator for easy access. All of the different tips give a beginner baker the ability to practice decorating at a reasonable price. The storage case did give me a bit of a struggle when I first tried to close it. When closing, you do have to make sure that the plastic edge is behind the prongs, or it will not close properly. Another thing that I found very helpful is the sheet of paper that shows the piping tip and what the piping looks like on a cupcake. I am very happy with this purchase and only gave it 4 stars due to the clumsy closing.
Good value baking kit for beginners
I picked this up after getting tired of using ziplock bags to frost cupcakes, and I wanted something more organized. This kit had pretty much everything I needed in one box, so it felt like a good starting point.
The first thing I noticed was how much stuff you get. Tons of piping tips, reusable and disposable bags, spatulas, and even a storage case that actually keeps things in place. The numbered tips and little guide made it easier to try different designs without guessing. It definitely beats using random kitchen tools.
Performance wise, the piping bags worked well and felt comfortable to use. The metal tips seem solid and give clean shapes. The storage case is a big plus since it keeps everything from getting lost, which was a constant problem before. For the price, it feels like a good value considering how many pieces are included.
The only downside for me was the piping gun. It felt a bit stiff and harder to control than expected, so I ended up sticking with the regular bags. Still, for beginners or casual baking at home, this kit covers a lot and makes decorating way easier.
I am an amateur cake baker: I love to make different creations but don’t have the skill of a professional. This kit is perfect for my needs. I have shown photos of my cake in progress using a few of the tools and the piping gun. All were very easy to use. The piping gun is a little stiff but works just fine and will loosen up in time. When in doubt it’s better to be stiff than loose.
My favorite part of this kit is the collection of metal tips for decorating your cake with different textures. There is an extremely helpful chart that I have photoed which shows what each tip will look like when used. The tips themselves are numbered, which you can see in my second photo, so they are easy to reference and use immediately.
Some of the tools are a cheaper plastic, but there is so much in this kit that it is worth it overall. I like the silicone muffin tins and the spatulas are nice. The frosting bags were nice to have. All in all a great set for hobbyists who want to have fun with decorating.
