The best air hose. I’ve abused this hose to death and it hasn’t leaked yet. Drag it around corners, under door sills. Ran it through sharp vents. I’m very impressed with this material. It’s rubbery and grippy, but super strong. It can kink if you try hard enough, but it’s not prone to it like some of the plastic type hoses are.
The only bad thing I can say is the way the ends are connected to hose make them rather bulky compared to other air hoses I have. Other than that so far they have been great. This 3/8 I. D. Hose has the same putter dimension as my 1/4 I. D. Hose. It rolls up nicely, do not kink, is very light weight and at $37 is very cheap compared to my local hardware store at $60.
I used spring type hoses for 20 years because I didn’t like the old heavy ones that were a pain to move about. But the spring type were a pain because I would always get them tangled. This is the hose of the future(lol). It’s light, it bends, and doesn’t get tangled. But I’m still old school. I put a nice set of rugged brass fittings on it and it works well with of of my old stuff.
Good Stuff
Do you like ripping you hands up on sharp edges of hose clamps on repaired hoses? Do you enjoy the race of untangling wads of bunched hoses? Do you enjoy the exercise dragging out heavy hoses provide? Then this is not the hose for you…
As many short sections as can be afforded, $ and project (would additional fittings be abraded unnecessarily vs longer length)
When drag can cause damage this lightweight, easy to coil hose can easily be deployed, used, rehung or allowed to weather.
Best Air Line Ever!
I have now been using this in my garage and outside in all conditions and it has been excellent.
Best part is it remains flexible well below 0 and lays out flat without all the loop hazards of my other air lines. I use a hose reel and it comes out straight and flexible and just lays out flat. Winds back up just as easy.
Air flow is good and I noticed an improvement in available pressure at my HVLP gun regulator over my previous 3/8 hose which was a pleasant surprise.
I do not use an auto-oiler with my airtools as I oil them direct after use so I cannot comment on oil buildup. I do not want to contaminate the line as I also paint with it.
The hose cleans up quick after painting which was an unexpected bonus.
The ends can be re-used also.
I’m very impressed. This hose makes running out airlines easy and unless you have worked with frozen air lines that roll out like concertina wire you will not appreciate how awesome this hose is.
Great sir hose for lighter weight work. It just like my 1/2 in same brand. I have had it well over a year and zero problem that is why I went back to this brand. It’s flexible but have not had a problem. With kinking or rupture. Outstanding product. Well worth the cos
