Product description

Seems good so fa
I only received this a couple of days ago. It seems to be a great hose, not heavy however, you do need a connecting part if you want to attach a multi sprinkler etc. Also the part that attached to the tap is a simple screw on connector not a pull down and off connector which I was used to. I will have to purchase a converter to make it possible to connect the pull down part to the tap. Brilliant price and lifetime guarantee. I would have given 5 stars if it had the more user friendly connectors.
Perfecta, todo cierto
Al principio pens que no se iba a extender x3 del todo, que ya sera una exageracin comercial. Mi sorpresa es que lo ha hecho perfectamente, y que funciona de maravilla. Muy recomendable.
Excellent - just make sure...
Very well made and without doubt one of – if not THE best of – it’s type; DON’T be tempted to scrimp on cheep immitations as you’ll regret it (ask me how I know!). Using this is sooooo much less hassle than a bulky, cumbersome, heavy and unweildy plastic hose – it’s actually a joy to use. The only thing (for me), was that the brass end nozzle (the end with the on-off lever), has an EXTERNAL 3/4 inch (19mm, I believe), dhread (as do all these types of hose with brass fittings I’ve seen), and no garden centre or shop I could find locally had a spray gun (or any other type) of attachment to fit this; it seems most only sell the type designed to grip onto a platic hose. Such fittings ARE available, but from my own experience it’s very likely you’ll need to order one on-line, and they are about 10.00 to 15.00. So, not a fault, just a potential “keep in mind” thing. I would most certainly not go back to a rubber hose UNLESS when you use the hose, it is likely to trail over soil or other dirty surface, as all fabric covered hoses will pick up the dirt and are not that easy to clean (which is about the ONLY merit a conventional hose now has in my book!). P.S. – in use, make sure before you use it, with the nozzle end closed, you turn the tap on and let the hose extend fully before using it. Similarly, when you’ve finished, leave the nozzle end open when you turn the tap off, and let the hose shrink back down again. A brilliant piece of kit!
Excellent Product Quality and Exceptional Customer Service!
I am very impressed with the quality of this product. Although I encountered a small issue initially, the customer service team was absolutely fantastic in handling it. They were professional, responsible, and truly committed to making things right, which gave me great confidence in the company.
The product itself is of excellent quality and works perfectly. It is rare to find a company that stands behind its products with such dedicated customer support.
This hose works exactly as advertised, it takes up minimal space and delivers water to water plants just fine, you will notice that know where, do they mention the actual inside diameter of the hose. Most hoses are listed as 1/2″ or 5/8″ but this one specifies 10mm outside diameter of the hose with a 2mm outside covering, if that is the case you’re looking at 8mm inside diameter with is about 1/4″ which means with a household pressure of 40 – 60 psi you’re getting anywhere from 1 to 2.5 GPM which means 2 – 5 minutes to fill a five-gallon bucket. Keep in mind this is the trade-off for the flexibility and limited space this hose exhibits.
I love these. Converted all 4 hoses at our house to these. They look great, hide easily, don’t kink, don’t have permanent twists, and are extremely easy to handle. No tangling unless you purposely tie them in a knot. The hoses are actually two hoses, one inside the other. The inner hose is an extremely flexible expanding rubber-like material. The outer hose is linearly stretchy cover which keeps the inner hose from expanding outward too much.
Be aware that because of the design, when the water supply is turned off, they will continue to squirt for a minute or so as the remaining water inside the hose is squeezed out, which allows them to shrink back to their original size.
There are two bugaboos with this design. First, if you leave them in the sun all day they become sun damaged and begin to leak after a couple of years and need to be replaced. Second, avoid abrasions that might cause hidden damage on the outside. When that happens the hose will pop like a car tire blowout and then need to be replaced. For these reasons you should never leave the hose under pressure. When you’re done using it, turn the water off at the source to avoid surprises.
All in all we wouldn’t go back to old style hoses. If one of these pops every few years, so be it. We just buy another one. It’s not worth our time fighting with those old style hoses when they need to be used or put away.
Good quality and no fuss
Works great and super handy to simply shut off water then hold nozzle until it deflates and shove the hose and nozzle into a nice pot we keep next to the hose bib instead of having hose reels or heaven forbid, having to coil up a hose! Never again. These are my go to tools for all of my watering needs by the front and back door. We still have a hose reel on the side of the house, but the front door simply has a small pot like you’d put a flower in, but this just drops into it when we’re done and we simply pull it out when we need it.
