The machine does a good job pulling up thatch and loosening the surface, which made the lawn look cleaner and helped prepare it for new growth.
The machine is lightweight enough to push without straining, yet it felt sturdy while working on my cool-season lawn. It pulled up a noticeable amount of thatch without digging into the soil too aggressively. After going over the yard once, the grass already looked more open and ready for overseeding.
I like that it offers both dethatching and scarifying functions, so it feels practical for seasonal lawn maintenance. The collection bag is helpful for lighter debris, though it does fill up fairly quickly, which is pretty normal for this type of tool.
It is a good fit for small to medium yards and works well for routine upkeep without the noise and maintenance of a gas machine.
A True lifesaver! We have a huge tree in front and hated having to rake every 2 days. With this plug in and move forward and will take all the work load away from picking up leaves!
Well worth the cost! Rental for 1 day is $110.00. If you use a dethatcher this is the ticket! I wish I got one years ago. I mean this is the real deal. Yes you have to mess around with a cord but no gas or recharging batteries. I give it 2 thumbs up.
