Thoughtful and Well-Organized Planner for Important Life Informatio
I ordered this planner so my husband and I could start getting our affairs organized for our children, and honestly, this book is very well done.
What I like most is how everything is broken down into clear sections that guide you step by step through the process. It starts with immediate first steps and important information, then moves through finances, assets, insurance, funeral planning, personal wishes, and more. It makes something that can feel overwhelming much easier to approach.
I also appreciate that it is not just a cold checklist. There are places to leave personal notes, memories, wishes, and information for loved ones and even pets. It feels thoughtful and practical at the same time.
The binder itself is nicely made, the tabs are organized well, and the larger print makes it easy to read and fill out. The document pockets are also very useful for storing important paperwork all in one place.
This has given my husband and me a really good guide to follow so our children are not left trying to figure everything out later on. It is one of those things nobody likes thinking about, but having everything organized brings peace of mind.
This is something I think every family should consider having.
Organize your life. Ease their burde
We are currently going through a life-altering event where once again we were asked if we had a living will, yada, yada, yada. My husband and I always say no and then never do anything to correct it. So when I saw this End Of Life binder I decided to get it. I’ll be honest. It feels morbid even holding it.
It’s a bright purple with gold inlay. It depicts a man in front of a tree, but I wish it would have given a choice between male and female.
I was surprised at the $30.99 price as they really put a lot of work into it. The only thing I had an issue with and debated about taking a star away is that upon opening the binder the first page was stuck to the clip. This caused it to tear the page at the bottom hole. I had to take a few seconds to unstick the other pages less they come to the same fate. However, I couldn’t give it anything less than a five based on the price alone. Plus, it is well organized and I’m getting another one for my husband.
After my wife passed suddenly and without warning at 46, the reality of how little we planned, much less spoke of what needs to happen next after we die for our affairs, estate, and children came slamming home for me. She was a stay at home mother, I was the bread earner and the thought of what she would have had to do if I had passed and certainly don’t want to happen to my children now, and this planner helps put that together for me.
It’s divided well enough for helping to logically lay out the pieces of information they (and my extended family) need to know essentially, where everything is at and let them know what has been set up for them and how to get to it. I spent a not insignificant amount of time with an estate attorney that already covers a lot of the assets and estate and a number of things are supposed to kick into place when I kick it from that, however there is SO MUCH that isn’t covered in that legal estate paperwork (or at least not easily understood around the legaleeze of that paperwork) this binder is logically laid out, presented with how I write/talk, so it should help bring at least some calm to their lives if I suddenly passed as well.
That being said, it could use more room in the envelopes (not much more than office routing envelopes in thinness, they’re not going to hold much), the pages could use some re-enforcement at the holes as they can tear out fairly easily, and it seems (looking at its competition up here on Amazon) it’s a bit more expensive than other binders of similar nature, so these defects are looking a little more obvious and impactful compared to the other options available here.
Thankfully, the bulk of my asset planning with my estate the lawyer put together for me. This binder allows a last father/human touch to my kids to add a more personal touch to something that will hopefully give them some peace that I thought enough to help ease my passing.
Great idea to help navigate a difficult time.
This end-of-life planner is thoughtfully designed and incredibly practical, especially for something that most people understandably avoid thinking about. The overall presentation is very tasteful, with a nice appearance that feels more like a well-made keepsake binder than a clinical planning document.
Inside, everything is clearly organized and easy to follow. The oversized envelope pockets are especially useful, easily fitting A4 and letter-sized documents like wills, insurance policies, birth certificates, and property records without the need to fold anything. The 10 color-tabbed sections make it simple to separate and access important information, from financial details and assets to funeral arrangements, pet care instructions, and personal messages.
What really stands out is that it goes beyond basic paperwork. The included sections for memories, bucket list items, and letters to loved ones add a thoughtful, human touch that makes the process feel more meaningful and less transactional. Even the pet section is impressively detailed, ensuring caregivers have everything they need.
The craftsmanship is also solid, with a fabric cover that looks elegant and durable, plus high-quality 120gsm paper that writes smoothly without bleed-through. The large print and clean layout make it especially senior-friendly.
Overall, this is a well-made, respectful, and comprehensive organizer that helps bring clarity and peace of mind to an otherwise difficult subject.
peace of mind
Although I am in my late 20’s, I wanted to get this to hold important documents and make sure I have things written out should anything suddenly happen to me. It is very high quality and clearly laid out. I really appreciate being able to fill out slowly and update as needed. It gives me peace of mind knowing my partner and family has everything needed and wouldn’t need to run around and call places trying to get important documents while grieving. It is a binder but fits well in my little lockbox/safe. It is also great to just keep documents safe and organized for when I need them. I would highly recommend this to everyone who wants to make sure their life documents and end of life plans are clearly organized to make things easier for those you love. Although I am healthy, I had a medical emergency a couple years ago and I remember being in the hospital trying to make sure I had it in writing that my fianc would have permission to make medical decisions should I lose that capacity and he could access my bank accounts. Should I ever have another medical emergency, I won’t need to be worrying about that in an ER hospital room again.
Incredibly well done, comprehensive guide for end of life planning. A++
I’m a big believer in pre-planning arrangements before you die. Even if you don’t pre-pay for your funeral, having your wishes in writing helps your family and friends at a difficult time. A lot of people don’t have these discussions with their family ahead of time, so they may have no idea what your wishes are.
This is the most comprehensive and expansive guide I’ve seen. The binder includes a bunch of forms and tabs that extend well beyond funeral arrangements. Everything from listing assets to making a bucket list is included. There are forms and envelopes in each section so you won’t lose smaller papers. The first tab is labeled first steps. There you can put all the things that your family would need to have right away if you were to die or become incapacitated. That saves your family having to go through everything right away to find what they need at a very difficult time in their life. I love that. What you want for your funeral arrangements from burial/cremation to hymns, music and environment,
What follows are page after page of helpful forms. You can list all your documents and where they can be found when needed. I am putting photocopies of them as well in mine. There are pages where you can either list important passwords or where they can be found. They have thought of everything in this guide so it really helps you put it all in one place. This guide is very thorough.
The inclusion of a bucket list is nice, and pages for personal stories or dreams are included too. There is even a section with pages for you to leave notes/letters for friends and family if you want to. I’ve written some things down for my family in the past just in case. After looking through this guide, I’ve realized I missed some very important information. I will be putting this guide to full use.
I highly recommend this end of life guide. Do your family and yourself a favor and get one. It’s the best thing you can do along with a will to ensure that your final wishes are followed. Your family will be able to focus on their grief and not frantically digging through years of paperwork to find what they need. Outstanding product!
The AI images on this listing are good for rollicking laugh. My favorite is a photo of the Dependents and Pets page where a line supposedly says “Rerstannibip to tie:”. I can confirm that the actual text within the binder is written clearly in English.
The actual binder I received is excellent. The binder itself is fabric covered, metallic foiled, and feels pretty solid. Many pages inside were not within the binder rings, but it looked like they were just missed, not fallen out. I opened the rings, put them back in, and closed it. They’re stayed in place since then.
My biggest concern is that the binder seems very full already. Each divider has a paper envelope on the back of it. These envelopes have string tie closures which are very lightweight (regular paper thickness for the paper circles, not even cardstock stiffness so they’re likely to fall apart pretty easily). It’s great that these envelopes have a bottom that can expand a whole inch, but it seem that it will get really messy if that happens. Rather than pleated accordion style folds that adjust to the thickness of the documents in the envelope, the bottom of the envelopes is set to fit a flat few sheets of paper or to open to an inch thick, but will end up creased or uneven if partway filled. On top of that, the papers at the front and back are already getting torn because they’re at the extreme ends of the rings because they’re already full. If you really add all the important files, I bet you’ll need to split this into two binders or an accordion file.
The setup seems aspirational — it’s encouraging to collect information and materials, but it can’t actually neatly handle being completed. The envelopes will be creased and bulging, the rings will be overfilled, tearing more pages at the front and back of the binder.
I will definitely use this binder. However, I expect I’ll either divide this into two binders or I will add an accordion folder for additional files to store together.
Aside from the size issue, there is problem with the printing on the dividers. The 10 dividers are on muted or pastel sorts of colors with headings on their tabs printed in white. Some of them are easy enough to read, but several are very difficult — white printing on lemon yellow is nearly impossible!
The tabs are well considered topics that will be helpful even during end of life care. My mother passed away a few years ago which made it very clear to me how important this information is. Any collected information was helpful during that time to help her feel comfortable, cared for, and fulfilled.
I’d say this is a near perfect place to collect end of life and after-death wishes for the person and for their loved ones. I am rating this at 4 stars because I feel it needs higher quality or better considered document storage space and easier to read tabs, particularly for use by anybody with poor eyesight.
