I am OBSESSED with Brumate! wasn’t a water tumblr person at ALL (I owned none except free ones that I get from events) until this Resa and here’s why
Color: I originally got the dune color, then the sage for my fiance. The colors are DARKER in person, but I actually ended up really loving that for the dune color especially! The colors on the Amazon and on the Brumate website makes it look pale or like a neutral white, but it’s actually dune as they say. As in, it’s white if the sun is shining on it, and slightly soft pastel pink like the sand when the sun hits it at sunrise. I love it. I included a couple pictures attached so you can see what I mean. I don’t really like pure white cups because they are so common, so this beige/light pink color was a nice change. The sage is also darker in person (and not a pastel sage).
Leakproof: Like many of the reviews say, it’s truly leakproof IF you use tighten the cup all the way and turn the locking mechanism to the U at the top. I also learned that you have to use the straw attachment it comes with, otherwise it won’t be a perfect seal for some reason. I learned this when I was washing the straws on both the Era and Resa and it leaked when I turned it over (to test), so just keep that in mind!
Stays cold: Stays cold for at least 24 hours. I haven’t tried longer just because I always end up finishing my water before then. I’ve also never tried hot liquids in it because I use it for water only.
Easy to clean: Everything can be taken apart, especially the silicon base! I loved that because it gave it a nice soft landing when you set it down, felt nice to hold, and prevents scratches from happening.
Ergonomics: LOVE the handle. I always end up carrying my bag, phone, and keys in my hand so if I had the side handles (which the Era does), I wouldn’t be able to hook my hand through like I could on the Resa. It’s also less heavy in general if you carry from the top-handle.
Accessories: this is not needed because it’s leakproof, but I got the straw caps separately from Brumate to have an exact color-match and also because I can’t stand knowing bacteria and dirt will get on the straw when I’m traveling. The cap is MAGNETIC which is brilliant, so I won’t lose it!
Conclusion: I loved my Resa so much I bought the same color for the Era for home, and so I can swap them out when I wash and dry one! I actually drink more water now too because of the straw. I feel crazy that I might actually get more than two colors, maybe to five.. someone help me all that to say, it’s so great so brace yourself if you take the chance to buy one.
Improvements/Asks: A 25oz with the side-handle would be nice. Currently there’s only a 25 oz Resa or a 30 oz Era and it’s just slightly too heavy to carry 30 oz on a side-handle tumblr. Also wish the straw caps came with this (or didn’t always sell out on Amazon) and wish you could purchase the silicon straw top piece separately in case it breaks. Currently the only option is to repurchase the whole bottle

Der Becher ist wirklich hochwertig verarbeitet und liegt angenehm in der Hand. Er hlt Getrnke lange warm bzw. kalt und berzeugt durch sein modernes Design. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Durch die ffnungen im Boden bleibt nach dem Splen in der Maschine immer etwas Nsse zurck. Ansonsten ein super Produkt, das ich definitiv weiterempfehlen kann!
This cup checks all of the boxes when it comes to my ideal reusable cup! I love the color, the soft handle, the leakproof option, the silicone cover on the bottom half & I also love that the straw is metal and easy to clean!
My first cup was awful, each sip had so many air bubbles it was like drinking the last sip of water left in a cup. This was extremely frustrating as I treated myself to this cup to bring to the hospital with me to stay hydrated while delivering my baby, so the few days I spent there, this cup was terrible when I needed water for meds and to stay hydrated throughout my delivery. I reached out to Brumate directly & followed their troubleshooting checklist which did not fix the problem whatsoever. I sent them pictures (by request) and they assured me they would send me a replacement unit, however once I sent my order info, they advised me to return on Amazon since I was within the 30 day window. I was a bit weary because I wasn’t sure if I actually had a faulty cup or if this was the norm and for the price tag, I expected better. However, it was surprisingly easy to fix this issue with amazon. I was able to select an option to receive a replacement and return the faulty cup within 30 days which I appreciate. I now have packaging to return my initial cup to UPS without having to worry about figuring that out. Very pleased with Amazon on the return operation.
So happy to share that the new cup sips smoothly and is 100x better than the faulty cup I received at first. I am super satisfied with this purchase and tossed my dented Owala in the trash. The magnetic lid is awesome too when paired with the straw covers. This is the perfect cup to me & I would recommend to anyone. Just be weary if you receive a cup that seems faulty, it should not be that way and there’s simple ways to fix the issue.
I bought two of these, one for myself in the larger size and one for my son in the middle size. They are sleek, the colors are beautiful, and they ultimately have all the features I’ve been searching for in a water bottle. Locking mechanism, easy to take apart and clean in the dishwasher, super wide mouth for ice with a narrow bottom to fit in cup holders, and a silicon sleeve that fits perfectly and reduces the bulky feel of the whole thing. The magnetic top is an amazing touch and I bought one of those small magnetic straw toppers, which I also love. And absolutely 100% leakproof! Not only that, but they must have some magical antibacterial properties or something because I had lost mine underneath a car seat for over 6 months. I live in tropical humid weather and when I found it I had expected some egregious concoction of mold and mildew and was deathly afraid of opening it . Nope! Not even a hint of mold, not even an odor. I put all the parts in the dishwasher and it came out like new! Except the silicon parts did need to be physically cleaned with a soft sponge and some soap to get all the dirt off. Even after all that, you’d seriously never know it wasn’t brand new. Absolutely delighted, since it’s such an expensive water bottle. This is definitely a forever kind of tumbler and I’d buy again for friends and family members, or for myself if I ever (permanently) lost mine. Pictured is what mine looks like after the 6 month MIA period 🙂
My favorite tumbler!! I love this tumbler so much. It’s cute and convenient. It locks away liquid, making it leak resistant (as long as your lid is tight)!! The interior of this tumbler is made to keep liquids cool for up to 2 days and hot for at least 8 hours. The silicone bottom protects the finish and the handle is perfect for carrying anywhere. The tumbler sits on your table or in a cup holder of your car or anywhere. The design ensures that your liquid will stay safe. I love this cup, my one criticism is the texture of the top straw. The silicone style is not for everyone. BrMate does tip over more than other cups, but the design holds liquids in pretty securely.

I am finally able to give a 5 star to a water bottle! My arthritic hand was becoming very stiff and painful opening my Stanley water cup. I love the Stanley brand but my hand needed something else. I love the soft handle and the ease of opening the cup to drink! The design makes this easy on the hands. My drink (cold only) stays cold all day and through the night. I keep it in my bed where I can reach it in case I wake up thirsty! Anyway, this tumbler crosses off all my wants!
Great water bottle, pretty lavender color (my favorite). My ice stayed insulated until the next day. Easy to clean. Nice handle to carry. Doesn’t spill when in the seal position. Fits in my car cup (standard) holder. Squishy silicone sleeve bottom. Sturdy. Perfect size, not too big. Only downsides are:
1) Hands contaminate the mouth straw when using the handle to carry. Now I have to purchase another thing. This company does offer magnetic straw covers that magnetically sticks to the lid (but easy to lose per another customer review) or another looped one that goes over the straw.
2) Carry handle hangs down and contaminates the inside of the bottle if you’re trying to put the lid on so I’ll probably put a scrunchie or small hair clip on the handle near the lid to keep the handle up out of the bottle.
3) The lid is a little challenging/awkward to screw on buuuut that might be a me issue!
This is far from my first brumate, but my first of the Resa. I typically use the 40oz era for water but I wanted something a little smaller for other drinks. I’d been eyeing the Eclipse Resa for awhile and I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger. The colorway definitely caught my eye first, and it doesn’t disappoint in person. Like all my previous brumates, it’s beautifully and thoughtfully designed. The built in boot adds stability and protection to the bottle. I love that it’s built in rather than looking like an accessory. Like the Era, the bottle is completely leakproof (I’ve used it even as a drink shaker lol) and has kept my ice cold all day, even in hot FL weather. I do think I prefer the swing handle to the Era handles. I love how it feels in my hand, it’s easier to grab and I can even use a carabiner to clip it to a bag. If it came in a 40oz, I’d probably replace it with my Era water cup lol. Still, the 35oz is a great size without having to refill often but it is on the heavy side. I may get another 25oz for another option.
Love my Brumate Resa 40 ounce cup. Keeps drinks cold all day. It is easy to clean. You can lock the straw to prevent spills. The magnetic top and the metal straws are quickly removed for easy, complete, and detailed cleaning. The metal straw is locked in so it doesn’t pop off with ice or regular use. It fits in the vehicle cup holders easily. So many colors to choose from!!! Have dropped it and it is still going strong.
