Great fixture. It’s built well, with no broken welds or loose parts. The fixture went in with no issues, though it was about 4 feet higher into the air than I wanted to be! It fits electrical boxes for install with no problem. There’s no remote controller, but it’s incredibly easy to use. If you’ve ever used a light switch, this should be no problem to turn on and off.
My electrician commented on how well made these are. He did have to replace existing electrical boxes for larger ones, but to be expected since these replaced 40 year old porch lights. They came with an extra glass. I bought 6 and they gave a nice update to my farmhouse porch. With Led Edison bulbs they look good and give a lot of light.
Great light but bad directions and unnecessary assembly required.
There is loose hardware in the packaging, so be careful opening it. The ground wire was not attached. See picture. I had to crimp it on myself. Don’t install the light bulbs first as it will make it harder to connect it together after wiring. The directions aren’t very clear if you haven’t done this type of stuff before. I love the look of the light and was worth the little extra work.
We replaced our porch light with this one and LOVE it! Keep in mind there is no glass or cover under the light bulbs, only on allthe sides. I think it is easier this way to change a bulb when needed. THe light is high quality and looks great. Thus far, we are happy with this purchase.
My daughter has a long front porch, and right in front of her front door there was one of the overhead flush mounted light fixtures. Her house was built in the early 80’s, and the light fixture was the original one for the house, which after40 years, was quite ugly. I had replaced her other overhead porch lights with hanging light fixtures, and they look awesome. Due to the height of her front porch, I could not use a hanging light for this one light due to her screen door would hit it. This light fixture actually matches quite well with the hanging lights that I purchased, and it was really easy to install. Just an fyi, the glass panes are not pre-installed, but they are very easy to install, and it comes with one spare one just case.
My daughter’s front porch now looks a lot better, and is starting to look a little “modern.” It’s amazing how some small details can change the look of a house.
This fixture is easy to install for anyone with very basic “handyman” skills.
