Good bang for your buck in a pre-k classroom!
I held off on reviewing these until they’d been used for a while! These wobble cushions are used daily by 4-5 yr-olds in my pre-k classroom. They’re tossed, jumped on, sat on, rolled, squashed, folded… you name it, the cushions have experienced it!
So far, they have really held up well. My kids love them, and I like that we can flip them over to a less knobbly side. They’re not entirely comfortable for ME to sit on the floor, but the kids have no problems with that at all! They weren’t awful to pump up, though I’ll say it was hard to figure out how full to go. I erred on the side of less full, which seems to have worked. I will say that they DO leak a little air over time. Kind of expected, but knowledge is power!
The worst thing that I have found is they are SUPER difficult to store! I have them in a tall laundry hamper, and they slither and slide and fall over all the time. But if that’s the worst of my concerns, I can take it!
Overall, these are neat cushions that are serving their purpose very well, and I feel that they were quite worth the purchase.
Classroom must!
My students used them as seats, pillows, backrests and occassionally as “steering wheels” in our classroom.
Loved them and worth the expense. They lasted through the school year and will likely last a few more!
hello balance and leap frog games!
These are cute. We have a black one we use for sensory reasons since our son is a seeker. These help him focus on tasks like school work, puzzles, eating etc. but the reason I bought this 6 pack is because obstacle courses are also really good for sensory seekers! Easy way to get some wiggles out too – hello balance and leap frog games! It’s not just fun for our kids. They make up games together and the neighbor kids can also join. We try to activate the vistibular system which helps him feel secure and confident in his body to help with focus tasks, making eye contact, and simply a brain break.. these are very durable, and multi functional. The size is just right for sitting on chairs, criss’cross apple sauce, leap pads.. and the colors are ADORABLE.
Ps- if you have a second child who for some reason plays with anything but toys.. this is a great open ended item for them to use their imagination and appropriately play
