What makes a pump maintenance free?
Maintenance-free pumps contain long-wear components submerged in a high-grade synthetic oil designed to last the life of the pump. Since the pump does not require regular oil changes, they are called maintenance-free.
What is a thermal relief valve (TRV)?
Our pumps are equipped with a TRV. This is a safety feature that keeps the pump from overheating while in bypass mode. The thermal relief valve opens if the water temperature inside the pump gets too hot. This will cause the valve to open, allowing hot water to exit and cooler water to enter the pump.

How do I winterize the pressure washer pump?
Use SIMPSON Pump Guard when storing the unit for more than 30 days or when freezing temperatures are expected. Using pump guard helps provide proper lubricant to the internal seals of the pump regardless of temperature while also removing water from the pump that could cause damage due to freezing. Follow the instructions in your manual on how to properly winterize the pump.
What is recommended for pressure washer winter storage?
Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the pump and the spray gun and allow the water to drain from the hose or use high-pressure air to force the water out. After water is removed, coil the hose onto the hose wrap. Hold the spray gun and wand in a vertical position and squeeze the trigger to remove any water then place the spray gun back into the gun holder. . Winterize the pump using SIMPSON Pump Guard as per your instruction manual

Great stereo sound. Excellent. Had it 3 weeks.
I am very happy with the bluetooth so far. Had it for 3 weeks. It alerts when you walk away from your phone when connected. It warns low battery. Great stereo sound.
I wish it had a last number call back feature.
USB port is at top. If this comes loose, or open, rain might enter.
It was nearly six months after I purchased this before I got around to changing it out. My Simpson Power Washer was new and I had used it only one time in fall. I tried to clear out the water in the pump when I was done and put it away, but I did not use the antifreeze kit that is small pressure can and that cost me the pump. The next time I went to use it, the winter cold had frozen remaining water in the pump and that made it totally ineffective and lost all pressure.
I was pleased to find this and ordered it. The repair shop wanted close to $250 to examine the unit and I had to drive an hour just to drop it off so this replacement part was a much more desireable option. I didn’t know what to expect until I replaced it. It took me less than 10 minutes to put the new pump on. Four bolts and the original slid off the keyed shaft, I then slid the new pump on the shaft with attention to aligning it to the key and tightened up the bolts and done! Totally repaired and very happy with this part and ease of repair.
I purchased this to replace the original pump on my Simpson pressure washer which was almost new. The pump works great and is the same as on the original pressure washer. I would caution that the pump works great as long as the water is turned on. The pump is of a very good quality but has plastic valves – if the water stops the pump heats up very quickly and the plastic valves just melt and the pump no longer functions. This was my experience – the water stopped and the valves melted. I purchased the entire pump since just the valve portion was not available.
Easy to install
This pump is identical to my original pump. It was very easy to install and after running it for about 15 minutes, I was very pleased with the amount of pressure that the pump produced.
