These replacement mower blades fit my Toro TimeCutter 4235 with the 42-inch zero-turn deck perfectly. Installation was extremely easy, and everything fit snug and secure just like the original stock blades. I had absolutely no issues during installation or operation.

Mulching blades fit TimeCutter 42 zero turn mower.
The first thing I noticed was that these blades arrived sharp and seem well made. They are mulching blades, not high lift. Once installed and used, they left my lawn looking evenly trimmed. fit was perfect for my Toro TimeCutter 42″ zero turn deck. Install was straightforward took only a few minutes, and once mounted, everything felt tight and secure with no issues during use. For the price, these are a solid deal. You’re getting dependable performance without spending a lot, which makes them a practical choice for regular replacements. Overall, a reliable set of blades that perform as they should and as described.
Solid Exact Fit Replacement Blades
I picked up these blades for my Toro TimeCutter 42-inch deck, which was long overdue for a change — honestly, I think I was still running the original blades on the thing. These popped up and were the reminder I needed to finally get it done.
The install was straightforward. On this mower, removing the deck takes less than five minutes, so I was able to tip it up, orient the new blades to match the position of the originals, and swap them out one at a time. I did look up the torque specs beforehand and made sure everything was tightened down properly. Start to finish, I was back out mowing in about 15 minutes.

I recently swapped out the old worn out blades on my zero turn for this set, and the difference in cut quality is night and day. Right out of the box, you can tell these are made from a high carbon heat treated steel because they have a significant weight to them and do not flex under pressure. I was specifically looking for something that would match the original factory specifications for a forty two inch deck, and these lined up perfectly with the circular center mount.
The installation was straightforward since the balance was spot on. While some replacement blades can cause significant deck vibration, these ran smooth even at high speeds. The grass discharge is very consistent, and it handles thick patches without bogging down the engine. It creates a nice lift that pulls the grass up for an even trim, which is exactly what you want for a professional looking lawn.

Good Replacement Blades To Keep In Rotatio
I ordered these for my Toro TimeCutter Z4200 as another set of blades to keep in rotation. I usually keep multiple sets on hand so I can quickly swap blades and sharpen them at my convenience rather than having downtime during mowing season.
I haven’t installed these yet because my current set is still serviceable after sharpening, but that will likely change soon. One of my older sets is nearing the end of its useful life, so these will probably be incorporated into the next blade swap.
The blades arrived looking well made, and the dimensions match what I need for my mower. Having a fresh set ready to go is always nice, especially during the peak growing season when the grass seems to need cutting every few days.
The only thing I’m not completely certain about yet is whether these require the support brackets that some replacement blade sets use. I have multiple blade sets in my rotation, and some specifically require the brackets while others specifically state not to use them. I’ll verify that before installation, but that’s more of a compatibility consideration than a criticism of the blades themselves.
Other than that, these appear to be a quality replacement option. They seem well finished, the cutting edges look good out of the box, and I’m confident they’ll serve their purpose once I put them into service.
Overall, these are exactly what I was looking for: a reasonably priced replacement blade set that’s ready to step into the rotation when one of my older sets retires. It’s always nice having a fresh set on the shelf ready for a quick swap.
Blades Cut Well, Sit Lower in Deck
I’ve owned a Toro Timecutter mower for a few years now, and with all the sand on our property, I go through blades quite quickly. I purchased the mulching kit for my Toro mower when I first bought it, and have tried a variety of mulching blades with the mower, and have been using the Toro Recycler blades, but thought I’d give it another try with a non-OEM blade.
First thing I noticed with the blade is that the sharp edge extends further on the blade than others I’ve used. Second, when comparing to the OEM blade, this Fismiuta blade will sit about a 1/2 inch lower in your deck (see side-by-side photo of new/old blade). The blade fits on the Toro spindle without any issues, but do take note that you will need to adjust your deck height to account for the lower blade position in the deck.
When cutting with the blades, they function and cut pretty well, but I notice that I have more issues with dust/debris escaping out the front of the deck (in the center area) than I did with my old blades, and I believe this is directly a result of the blades sitting lower in the deck (see photo with area circled in red, showing blade edge actually slightly below the deck). The material from the left blade is being slung into the area of the right blade, which is kicking it out the underside of the deck. I will be removing these blades and putting them in my shop vise and straightening them out to match my old blades.
While apprehensive upon receipt, due to their unique design, I do highly recommend them.
Hopefully, we all learn something new every day, and this was one of those days for me;
I have been cutting lawns and maintaining my own equipment for 50+ years. Every single lawnmower blade I have ever installed was designed such that the cutting surface of the blade was perfectly parallel to the ground/grass. When I received these blades the cutting surfaces were not parallel to the ground but instead were angled approximately 3/4 of an inch over their sharp, 7 inch cutting area on each end. I simply could not make sense of this. Everything about this design seemed,”VERY VERY WRONG!” (say that like Bill Murray” 🙂
So, I dug into this and I am going to share one of the comments below (among many) that I found. The following was my question and then an answer/explanation which suddenly made perfect sense.
But first; I installed these on my SS4250 Toro Zero Turn mower and they worked beautifully! These blades are sharp & heavy duty. Prior to installation I checked them for balance and they were spot-on. They have a cutting surface of 7 inches that is around 40% longer than my other blades which provided a clean cut on my 2 acres of lawn. Imagine that! While apprehensive upon receipt, due to their unique design, I do highly recommend these blades. In the photos, I tried to show the blades unique angle by putting it against a white straight-edge of sorts and also a picture of the 7 inch cutting edge.
While the following commentary may be more than you had hoped for it was helpful to me so I’ll share it with you;
My question:
After decades of lawn maintenance I have have always been under the impression that the actual cutting portion of any lawn mower blade much be parallel with the lawn it is cutting. I recently recieved a set of lawn mower blades for my Zero turn mower that defy this principle. The blades have a very obvious bend in them which makes the outermost tip of the cutting surface lower that the innermost cutting area, thereby cutting on a ‘slant’. Does this arrangement make any sense at all?
One of the explanations I received:
It actually makes perfect sense—what you are seeing is an intentional design feature found in many modern high-lift or mulching blades. While it feels counterintuitive to your years of experience with flat blades, that “bent” or slanted profile is specifically engineered to improve airflow and cut quality. Why the “Slant” is IntentionalCreating Suction (Lift): The bend acts like a fan or an airplane wing. As the blade spins, the angled section creates an upward draft that pulls the grass upright. This “vacuum” ensures that even grass flattened by the mower’s wheels is lifted and cut at a uniform height. Controlled Cutting Zone: In these designs, the outermost 1–2 inches of the tip are responsible for the primary cut. The “lower” position of this tip helps it reach the grass first, while the inner, higher portion of the blade is often designed to recut clippings into fine mulch.Improved Discharge: For Zero Turn mowers, which often handle large volumes of grass, that slant helps propel the clippings with enough force to prevent clumping and ensure they are either bagged efficiently or discharged far from the mower.Is it a defect or a design?You can confirm if the bend is a design feature rather than damage by checking a few things:Symmetry: If the bend is identical and precise on both ends of the blade, it is intentional. Blade Type: Check if they are labeled as Mulching or High-Lift blades, as these are almost always curved or “bent” from the factory. Balance: A factory-engineered bend won’t affect the balance. If you hang the blade from a blade balancer or a nail through the center hole, it should still sit level.If you are using these for the first time, you might notice a cleaner cut and fewer “stragglers” left behind. Just be sure to install them with the lift (the turned-up “sail”) pointing toward the mower deck, not the ground.
I must be doing it wrong?
Every instructional video on this repair instructs the viewer to remove the deck, so you can flip the deck over and this is supposed to make the job easier.

Since getting down and dirty is the hallmark of the home handyman, I asked myself why you can’t simply jack up the front of the mower, lay on a creeper and swap these blades out quickly?
Myself had no answer other than “Grab the floor jack and get busy!”
Do not jack up by the deck, use the front frame. Pull the deck up as high as it goes before you jack up the front end.
Use a jack stand for safety, don’t rely on the jack to hold once elevated.
All I had to do was wedge a jack handle under the old blade, use my foot as a fulcrum, and it was a simple task to remove the bolts and swap out the blades with a socket wrench.
The threads are standard “righty-tighty” so they simply unscrew.
It was so quick and easy that I thought that there must be a catch here??
NOPE!
As for fit, I checked and double checked my model number, and was initially concerned about the slightly smaller size of the replacements, as well as the tapered edges.
Once assembled, I found that there was a SLIGHT interference between a small section of one blade and the deck shroud. The blades were properly centered and secured, so this is worth noting.
When the engine was started and the PTO activated, there was contact in the small spot, and I was going to explore options, but the noise quickly went away as the interference was eliminated by “contact” before I shut it down.
I have 10 acres and a LOT of grass to cut, so I got busy and while I am not so sure these cut as cleanly as the factory blades did, the grass looks fine and these are reasonably priced.
They have a decent edge, time will tell how they hold up here.
I would say the fit is “adequate” as it’s possible that with all the use and abuse that mower takes, it’s entirely possible that the deck is slightly warped or twisted, as I have steep hills and many obstacles.
The mower is functioning as it should, so this was an easy fix that can be completed in minutes.
