Product description

Feels realy well built and with good accessories
Very pleased with the overall quality of this monocular. The build quality is good and the included tripod, phone adapter, and carrying bag make it a practical and well designed package. The image clarity is quite good and sharp It performs well for bird watching, hiking, and travel but I would say that only for short distances. Please see picture 4 and 5 to have an idea of the distances it works.
My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a zoom function. While the optical quality is very good, the fixed magnification did not feel quite as powerful as I had expected for linger distances. A variable zoom feature would make the monocular even more versatile and enhance the overall viewing experience.
Adasion makes the best binoculars and monoculars I've ever used.
I’ve been using Adasion binoculars for the past 4 years. They are the best I’ve ever had in over 50 years. This monocular is even better than the binoculars.
The binoculars are 12×42 and this monocular is 12×54, so they capture more light and are better in low-light conditions. They are incredibly sharp and crystal clear. The focus adjustment is located perfectly for a right-handed user to focus with their index finger on top, but a left handed-user will need to get used to using their thumb to focus from the bottom.
The monocular has a built in female screw hole for using with a tripod, and the monocular comes with both a small tripod and a phone holder, so you can take pictures through the monocular. I’ve used the tripod and phone holder to take pictures of birds and it works very well.
It comes with a case that holds everything very nicely.
As a side note, I had an issue with one of my Adasion binoculars a while back and they have a lifetime warranty. I simply emailed the company, and less than 5 days later, I had a brand new replacement set in my hands, with no hassles at all. You can’t beat that for customer service!
I highly recommend this product.
Adasion Monocular, A Great Outdoor Device.
The Adasion 12×54 HD Monocular is a great idea for the outdoor person who enjoys bird or animal watching. The monocular has an adjustable textured grip making it easy to hold, a tripod so you can set the monocular on a flat surface and have a steady view, and phone adapter for capturing and recording bird watching/enhancing birding.
The monocular build is robust and well-constructed; and will hopefully withstand the rigors of outdoor treks. One of the best benefits is the body is weather-sealed so it can resist water and dust a bane for any type of outdoor device.
The lens is very clear and seem to let in a large amount of light so whatever you are viewing is highly visible and detailed. This is because of the BAK4 prism and muti-layer lens that is coated to resists oils and moisture. The monopod allows you to view subjects over a long distance but is very blurry at close ranges (during my testing anything within 10 to 12 feet was super blurry).
I have not used the phone adapter yet but this is a great compact option instead of using a DSLR with a 100-400mm lens. This means you can take the monocular and any additional gear you need without having a heavy kit/loadout.
I am definitely recommending the Adasion monocular and look forward to putting it through its paces.
Great for bird watching!
I live on a pond that attracts a lot of Ducks, Geese, Egrets, and other birds. For years I’ve been using a set of 8x binoculars to get a better look at them, but when I saw this 12x Monocular I ordered it right away! I was impressed right away when I opened the package. This thing has some weight to it, which to me means that it is constructed well. The handle grip is adjustable and feels secure. The focus knob is easy to reach and does what it’s supposed to. The optics are really clear! I was able to see details in the Mallards and Buffleheads that I was not able to pick out with the binoculars. The included tripod is surprisingly sturdy and adjusts well. It works great if your subject is stationary, but not so good for moving birds. The phone camera adapter fits well on my phone and can be adjusted to align the Monocular with the camera lens. Picture quality is decent for a cell phone, but obviously not as good as my DSLR with tele lens. The scope and all of the accessories fit nicely in the included fitted case with a handy strap to carry it around. For the price, I don’t think you can do much better if you are looking for a good spotting scope for medium distances. I would recommend!
Great Monocular, comes with case and tripod, phone mount could be better.
I am a super fan of products that have thought put into them, not just the item but the use of that item. This monocular comes with a carry/storage case, an adjustable tripod, cleaning cloth and a bracket holder for your phone to mount to the monocular. The monocular is top notch, clear image, easy to hold and has a strap on the side for easy holding and use with one hand with texture to give better grip. Comes with lens caps for the front and the rear and a dust cap for the tripod mount threading when not using the tripod.
The tripod is pretty nice, not the best but great for table top use and to keep the monocular steady. The phone mount is ok, it’s a thinner plastic and I have the max pro phone, so the larger phone and it has trouble holding its position and holding the weight so I had to keep adjusting it.
We have really got into bird watching with the kids and this is a lightweight, really clear and powerful monocular that should be fun to play with and get the kids engaged even more. Again, we love the case and accessories and the only thing that could be better is the phone mount. I might try to find a better phone mount to replace the one it came with but it does work just could be better. Overall really happy with it.
A complete package, could offer a bit more zoom for the size
I picked this telescope up thinking it would be nice to have and add a higher level of zoom to my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I like that it’s a complete package of a phone mount, tripod, telescope, and small carrying case. The downside to the phone mount is I had to take my iPhone out of its case due to the lip around the camera cutout. I would prefer not to have to do this.
The tripod is extendable, but also made of plastic. It’s fine, for the price of this package. Some metal in the tripod would have been nice, especially for the legs and telescope stand (there’s metal with the threading). The phone mount is plastic, which is also fine. The image when looking through the telescope is fine, it’s a little difficult to get it exactly lined up to take a picture without seeing a circle in the image.
My only real complaint is that, for this size, 54mm of zoom isn’t a lot. Right now, my iPhone offers 4X optical zoom (100mm) and 8X digital zoom (2X crop of the 4X optical for 200mm). I can get more zoom out of my iPhone without this and resulting pictures are higher quality. Even my 50mm prime lens for my mirrorless camera has almost as much zoom as this does right out of the box. I looked at other telescopes this size, and they go into the 100-200mm range.
The telescope itself is mostly plastic, but it feels high quality. Adjusting the focus is easy to do one-handed and I didn’t have any issues finding what I was looking for. The view piece is large enough, but it can be an issue when trying to take pictures. In the end, because of the limited zoom and awkwardness of using this to take photos, I ended up putting it back in its case and will reserve use for when I’m hiking or camping.
Quality is outstanding!
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ordered in a long time. We love to go out to the country and spot eagle nests, and watch the deer and wildlife. This allows us to see much more than we normally can with our phones. We usually zoom in with the camera on our phones, or take photos and then zoom in. This is a million times better!
We have also used it to spy on my brother-in-law who keeps hanging around the wrong crowd. With the super cool feature of being able to take photos with your phone with the adapter, it has helped my husband and I show his parents that their son has been lying to them. A picture is worth a thousand words! No more believing the sob stories when we have proof where he really was. I could write a book on that alone!
Only thing that would make this even more amazing is if it had night vision. The carrying case, and the tripod are much appreciated accessories that are included. It’s light enough at a pound to hold comfortably for quite a while.
Go out and try to find some eagle nests. You’ll probably be surprised to find some in your area. They are huge nests of 5′ wide.
It also helped us know that we aren’t interested in a property we thought we were, after all. The land slopes way too much for what we want to use it for. We are glad we didn’t waste our realtor’s time in meeting us all the way out there.
The 12×54 HD Monocular Telescope for Adults stands out as a powerful tool designed for those who enjoy bird watching or hiking and general outdoor observation. This high powered device is engineered to deliver sharp and bright images that remain detailed even when viewing objects at a significant distance. One of the primary technical advantages of this unit is the inclusion of a BAK4 prism and a multi-layer coated lens system. These components work together to ensure high light transmission which effectively improves image brightness and reduces distortion for the user. This results in a viewing experience that feels much more natural and comfortable during extended periods of use. To make the system even more versatile for those who travel frequently it comes as part of a ready to use kit. This kit includes a large capacity carrying bag that is specifically designed to hold the monocular along with the included tripod and smartphone adapter. Having everything in one compact place makes it incredibly easy to set up quickly in the field. The inclusion of a sturdy tripod and an upgraded phone holder means that hands free viewing is simple to achieve. This setup is particularly useful for anyone looking to capture photos or videos of nature without needing to carry a separate heavy camera rig.
The build quality of this optic is impressive for its price point and provides a sense of reliability during outdoor use. Using the device in conjunction with a smartphone is a seamless process thanks to the upgraded adapter which makes capturing digital memories very straightforward. The optics themselves are intuitive and easy to master even for those who are new to using monoculars. Users have the flexibility to choose between mounting the unit on the provided tripod for a steady image or using the hand strap for a more mobile and spontaneous viewing experience.
This kit provides excellent value for anyone needing a durable and dependable piece of equipment for their travels. The entire construction is very sturdy and feels capable of withstanding the rigors of various outdoor environments. It serves as a comprehensive solution for observation and photography while remaining lightweight and portable for any adventure.
Finally, bird watching that works for me!
I live in a very wooded area and bird watching, feeding, and clearing nests from our car engines is just routine life. I invested in a very nice pair of binoculars but no matter what I did, I just could not get them to work for me. I wear glasses, have aged vision, and astigmatism. So, I decided to try this monocular.
I haven’t tried the tri-pod yet, as I really have no need at this time (yet). This monocular has been a game changer for me. One hand, with a safety strap to keep in on that hand, no issue. The adjusting dial for focus is very easily manipulated while still holding the device – so essentially you could easily use this if you only have one usable hand.
I’ve tried this with my glasses on and off – I actually prefer to use the monocular with my glasses on.
I am not a telescope expert – so please understand this is a review from someone who hasn’t really tested a lot of these kinds of items. This is what I know:
– I can easily see the greenhouse in the backyard three lots down, each lot has at least an acre of land – so for normal neighborhoods where everyone lives really close together, this is equivalent to seeing about six normal sized yards away. That was just what I could make out (again, we have lots of trees).
– I can scan the canopy tops and actually see birds, even the tiny ones. I can easily see 15 to 20 different bird species in a single hour – and this is actually helping me see deeper into the woods. Now I can finally see that thing I was convinced was a huge hornet’s nest. It isn’t – it is a knob on the side of a tree. Whew!
-After a couple weeks of daily use, I can honestly say this is the second item I bring outside with me when going in the backyard (my phone being the first – to log the bird chirps on an app).
Additionally, the eye cap comes off easily and can be easily stored in the bag that comes with the set. The main cover for the monocular lens flips down (away) from the lens and can be easily put back on in a hurry (rains, etc).
Lastly, I have suffered from early onset arthritis for 20 years – my hands weaken and get tired very easily (stirring batter hurts my hands, to give an example). I sat outside for at least a half-hour holding this monocular with the same hand without any hand soreness or hand cramps. THIS IS A BIG DEAL FOR ME. I struggle with a lot of things that involve my hands, and this has given me a lot more than just a closer view of birds, trees, etc. – this brings me JOY.
I can’t speak to how it may be used in other situations, but I will say that I am SO HAPPY to have this monocular. Light, easy to use, easy to transport, and comes with extras.
I highly recommend for others who may be like me, or just want something not too big, yet effective!
