Using this hose was a unique experience compared to other hoses that I’m used to. It is very light weight, it’s more flexible, and it doesn’t kink up like other hoses. Neither end of the hose leaked at all for me, but this hose does come with extra hose gaskets and a roll of Teflon tape if you need it.
It was actually a bit smaller in diameter than I was expecting, which makes it that much easier to maneuver when using it. I’m not sure yet how it will behave after getting dragged through dirt, but because of where I’m using it, I don’t have to worry about that for now. I’m definitely going to look into getting a few more of these for around the yard.
We are the type of family that responsibly uses garden hoses very often. We even had additional spouts installed shortly after buying the house so we don’t have to run long hoses from one side of the house to the other.
This lightweight hose has gotten a good amount of use this summer. Whether we used it for the kids to run through the sprinkler or to get some bird droppings off one of the cars, it consistently did a good job.
Our only concern and not one that impacted our rating was that we probably wouldn’t use this with a pressure washer as it does restrict the airflow a bit. Other than that it was perfect so we give it both a 5-star rating and our recommendation.

This steel hose is so amazing! It is super compact (don’t let the size of the box fool you) and never kinks or tangles. I have one for my front yard and ordered this one for the back. It is 25 feet in length and performs flawlessly. Even when it makes sharp curves during use, the water flow stays consistent. It puts rubber hoses to absolute shame. I will never go back to using any other type of hose. I’ve used all types of hoses throughout the decades and none of them compare to this steel one. There are zero leaks (I haven’t even needed to use washers or tape). It winds up so compactly that you don’t even need a hose reel or organizer, unless you just want it completely hidden from sight.
I have some very specific requirements for a hose with a special use: It needs to be fire resistant, kink-proof, flexible and basically indestructible. This hose checks all those boxes, and it’s reasonably priced.
I live in a fire-prone area, so I have a lash-up rainbird-like sprinkler set up on my roof to provide some protection in case of wildfire (see photo). I’ve had it up for years, but regular hoses break down quickly in the sun and tend to kink at the top where they are carrying a lot of weight. And I always wondered how they would hold up to the heat of a fire. This hose takes care of all those problems.
The brass fittings and steel casing are fireproof, of course, and the hose does not kink or try to bend in funny ways just because it’s been rolled up for awhile in a certain position. It’s completely flexible and looks like it can stand up to plenty of abuse.
And the price is right. I’ve seen plenty of plastic, or whatever, hoses that cost almost as much.
This one’s a keeper.
I really hate those traditional garden hoses. They are super heavy and expensive. Once it kinks, you will have a tough time fixing it.
Then I tried some polyester hose. They are great but don’t last. They seem to break within 2 years.
I recently found stainless steel water Hoses are getting popular. I ordered 304 Stainless Steel water hose to review.
This garden hose is very flexibility. It is made from heavy-duty stainless steel and a multi-layer flexible inner tube. I find it highly maneuverable. Stainless steel should provide great durability.
It is also very lightweight. Very similar to other polyester hoses. It provides reliable water flow for your gardening needs.
With its kink-free design, you no longer have to stop and fix annoying kinks. The hose always stays smooth and never knots, allowing for a hassle-free watering experience. In the rare event of the hose tending to kink, a simple stretch will release it, thanks to the easily rotating fittings. The reduced friction between the inner tube and outer steel cover protects against cracking caused by wear and tear.
Overall, I think stainless steel water hose is a great option if you are looking to replace your old garden hose.
Garden hoses are an absolute necessity for anyone who lives in a home which has a yard. However, my experience is the rubber ones more often than not decay fairly quickly – especially in our super-dry Arizona heat – and begin dribbling from here or there, needing either repairs or replacement. Additionally, my house has 4 spigots and thus can accommodate (at least) 4 hoses. I’ve recently replaced 2 of my rubber hoses with Artistan 50 ft Puncture Proof Stainless Steel Hoses – and LOVED them – so when I saw the 25 ft hose I immediately envisioned where I could use it – as a 2nd hose off my dual hose bib in my back yard.
Here are my notes on this product:
* The package came with 25′ of hose (pic #1 only shows box & hose), a few replacement rubber washers and some (fairly thin) Teflon tape
* I scoped out a place on my back wall, slightly above a water-actuated hose reel I’ve had for years, for a new wall-mount hose holder (pic #2)
* I then connected the Artistan hose to one of my 2 hose bibs, screwed a nozzle onto it, and then wrapped the hose onto the holder (pic # 3, then more of a close-up in pic #4)
* I should say I really appreciate the high quality brass fittings on both ends of the hose.
* I turned the water on, noted a very minor expansion in the hose, and confirmed not a single dribble from the fittings.
* The temp at the time was about 100F when I began using the hose to help me power-wash my back patio. After a few minutes I felt the hose to see how hot it was – as I had done with the 50′ hose – and noted it was actually COOL, probably due to the water inside the hose at the moment. I don’t know what the “metal” actually is (since almost anything “metal” left in Arizona’s sun for even 5 minutes gets HOT!) but it doesn’t seem to absorb heat AND it’s quite lite.
In summary, my initial experience with the 50′ Artistan metal hose was so positive I actually bought a 2nd one and then ordered this 25′ as a 3rd. That should certainly make a loud statement as far as my recommendation.
