Amazing. It isn’t too thick, but gives a good covering. I would prefer something lighter when it is hot-hot, but I did not find it stiffling for moderately cool nights (as the ac ensures it would be). It’s not as light as a plain flat sheet and it has more insulation than a thin blanket. It has a combination of a moderate thickness for snuggling in to with a material that is neither soft nor aversely rough and doesn’t “lay” on you too closely.
I, admittedly, have enough blankets at this point, but the rich colors drew me to this one when I saw it on my page. The exterior being cotton was also a big part of why I decided to go for it. (Vine Voices items are technically “free”, but it counts as income so in reality it’s more like buying at a discount. You still gotta count the costs.) The interior is polyester, I believe, so there’s an interplay of insulation and wicking happening.
If you are going for this, you want slight insulation, a texture that isn’t meltingly soft, and colors (double-sided, so two options) that are to your liking.
The king size quilt fit my Queen size bed like it was a Queen size.
I am glad I got the king size quilt for my Queen size bed. It fits like a Queen size. It has some thickness to it and feels nice. The edging does not go around the whole blanket. Its only on three sides and does not have it on the side that goes up toward the head of the bed. The material is not scratchy, but kind of smooth. It feels like there is a very thin layer of batting in between the two layers of the quilt. I love the color and pattern of the quilt. Great blanket!
The Perfect Summer Comforte
I’m absolutely in love with this 100% Cotton Muslin Quilt. This is the perfect summer quilt. It is soft and lightweight. It has a little beige trim around 3 sides. It is reversible. It washes and dries well in the washing machine. The filling is sewn in multiple places throughout the quilt to ensure the filling won’t bunch up when washing. I have used it every night since receiving it. It isn’t my favorite color or pattern, but I quickly got over that for the comfort. I stay cold, so I can’t comment on if it works well for night sweats or hot sleepers. It is of great quality. The color doesn’t fade when you sit or lay in 1 spot, which I have seen on much more expensive quilts. I highly recommend this quilt for your summertime needs!
Light weight quilt for the summer months
The yellow and green colors in this cotton quilt really brighten up the bedroom. The yellow is closer to a rich gold tone, which is exactly what we were looking for. The colors are vibrant without being overwhelming and add a warm, inviting feel to the room.
We wanted a lighter blanket for the warmer months, which along the Texas coast is about eight months out of the year. This quilt provides just the right amount of coverage without feeling heavy or trapping excess heat.
The Queen size measures a generous 90″ x 90″, allowing it to drape nicely over the sides of the mattress for a finished look. The cotton fabric feels comfortable and breathable, making it a great choice for spring, summer, and early fall.
With this lightweight quilt, I’m hoping to spend fewer nights kicking the covers off and enjoy a more restful night’s sleep. If you’re looking for an attractive, lightweight bedding option for warmer climates, this quilt is an excellent choice.
**Beautiful Natural Quilt with a Light, Airy Feel**
I really like this quilt. It has a wonderfully soft, fluffy feel that you expect from natural cotton rather than the slick feel some synthetic blankets have. The lightweight construction makes it a great option for warmer weather or for anyone who tends to sleep hot.
I chose the coral color with the contrasting tan ginkgo leaf pattern, and it is beautiful. The embroidered jacquard ginkgo leaves add a lovely texture, and the nature-inspired design gives the quilt an elegant, calming appearance. I also appreciate that it is reversible, allowing you to change the look of the bed with a simple flip.
The only drawback for me is the size. On my queen bed with a deeper mattress, the quilt only hangs about six inches over each side. It technically fits a queen bed, but it doesn’t provide the generous drape I personally prefer. Because of that, I will be using it in my guest room on a full-size Murphy bed instead, where I think it will look absolutely perfect.
Overall, this is a beautiful, well-made cotton quilt with a soft, breathable feel and an attractive botanical design. If you have a standard-depth queen mattress or prefer a more tailored look, it should work well. Those with thicker mattresses or who like extra overhang may want to consider sizing up if that option is available.
INTRODUCTION
This season I have had an unending desire for nice linens. I’ve been very attracted to 100% cotton Jacquard prints. This blanket is everything I love. Plus, I kind of knew what to expect before the blanket arrived because I have a couple of robes from the same company, which I adore.
THE BLANKET
This blanket is lovely, soft, and cozy. It’s made with two layers of printed gauze with a layer of fluff in between – similar to what you would find in a quilt. However, this blanket is not stitched down (except for a small holding stitch).
It’s the kind of blanket you will crave for a good night’s sleep and especially when you don’t feel your best. If your thinking of getting this blanket for someone who has just come out of the hospital or is fighting through a lengthy illness, I think it’s the perfect gift.
THE COLORS
The colors are very close to the product photos. I ordered Green/Yellow. The green is a very muted (almost washed) clay grey green and the yellow is more like burnt orange. I like it very much, even though it’s not actually yellow. I would definitely call the style boho – which I adore.
REMEMBER TO PRE-WASH
Before I use any new bedding, I always, without exception, wash it first. I tossed this blanket in the delicates cycle on cold with a bit of gentle detergent. Then I only put it in the dryer for a short period – about 30 minutes on the lowest setting, just to get a bit of the water out. I took it out of the dryer when it was still a bit damp and draped it across my drying rack by a breezy window.
SUMMARY
I love this blanket. I think it’s beautiful, cozy, soft and I can’t stop looking at it. It’s a winner.
