Was able to use this product to transmit a HDMI cable signal from the house main floor to the basement. I used a HDMI splitter so I can watch cable TV on both the main floor and the basement at the same time. Easy to use and to hook up.
Plug N play very much acceptable, solid connection.
So far it is serving its purpose with relatively solid connection. Plug N play was pretty simple, didn’t take too much playing with them to get the connection running. My use for them is to cast a camera system display about 75 feet away, also through other various close by signals definitely in the air, and it is able to cut through it all. I am happy with the range I am getting, considering what it has to get through. As for portability, this is a receiver plugged into a power source and the same for the transmitter in different devices, so it is pretty simple to move them wherever and for slightly different purposes. I feel the price is absolutely fair for what it is accomplishing, and the quality and reliability that it is providing. I have been using it for only a few weeks now, so I think 4 stars is very much acceptable to date.
I bought this HDMI transmitter and receiver for my home to stream content from my laptop to my TV, and it works very well. The installation was very simple, requiring no complicated configuration. The image quality is excellent, with a clear signal and no lag. It also comes with port adapters that make connecting easier in case the ports don’t match up. You can also use it for presentations and gaming. It is a great option if you want to stop using cables.
This is one amazing product, but let me answer one big question up front about what it cannot do. It cannot do ultra-widescreens. I have a Mac with 2 screens running at 3440×1440. This is not supported, but only up to 1920×1280 is. Technology will catch up to this need.
Now, for how amazing this thing is. At first, I thought this product out marketed its delivery, and I was wrong.
My first use case was an Xbox that was connected across my office by a 25 foot HDMI cable. Yes, it was as ugly as you could imagine it. Without even reading the documentation (and also being very tech savvy), I was able to connect the Xbox to the monitor (1080P) and immediately the Xbox appeared and connected in a few seconds. The box says 328 foot range, but I can’t see a practical use at that distance for me, most will likely be within 20-50 feet (or less) as I was. The gameplay on the Xbox was surprisingly good, but it’s not HDMI cable quality of course. It is acceptable for most gaming scenarios, with an occasional stutter which is very forgivable. I was playing a “Call of Duty” type game, and it behaved surprisingly well. Maybe on the more “insane” skill levels you may miss being wired, but it seems this is a very intense use case, and It passed well.
One important thing to note for the Xbox and would apply to other things.. You turn on the Xbox and the connection is immediate to HDMI. No additional buttons to push or crazy magic chants. It just came online in a few seconds to the monitor.
For other use cases, I did attach a Mac to a 1080P screen and it did come up immediately, the screen was responsive, but again, not ultra wide or 1080P. There could be a good use case if you need a wireless connection to a PC in a pinch though, and do so in a headless fashion. For Mac users, if your smart TV supports AirPlay, then you already have what you need, but this device is plug and play (unlike AirPlay where you manually set your connection every time). Windows users have been able to wirelessly project for years as well (mostly with an adapter). This may be a nice way to extend a screen for meetings or be able to share wireless monitor capability without having to do any crazy operating system setup. This functions like a wired monitor connection.
One thing that would be nice is if the device would time out instead of sit at the connection screen indefinitely. It would make monitor power on and off more automated imo.
Overall, for the uses you have, this device is well worth the cost. I was a bit of a tech skeptic and bought it anyway and was very surprised at how well it did. The support for this product was excellent as we went back and forth on higher resolution scenarios and they understood my needs, just being patient until the tech catches up. If you are on the fence about this product and need to transmit at 1920×1280 (1080P), then buy this. You won’t be disappointed. Take it from a skeptic they won over.

Another big plus is portability. The units are compact and lightweight, making them perfect for business presentations, classroom use, or home entertainment setups. No messy cables running across the room — just a clean, wireless connection.
The only minor reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that range can slightly decrease with heavy interference, but that’s expected with any wireless device.
Overall, this is a high-quality, dependable wireless HDMI extender that delivers exactly what it promises. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a simple and effective way to stream video and audio wirelessly to a monitor or projector.
