This 30-inch under cabinet range hood is a solid option if you want something with a bit more power for your kitchen. The 800 CFM airflow does a good job clearing out smoke, steam, and cooking odors, especially when you’re cooking at higher heat. The stainless steel finish looks clean and fits well with most kitchen setups. The push button controls are simple and easy to use, which is nice if you prefer something straightforward. The baffle filters feel durable and are easy to remove and clean. It can be set up for either ducted or ductless use, giving you some flexibility depending on your setup. Installation is fairly typical for this type of hood. Overall, it’s a practical choice that offers strong performance without being complicated.
Solid range hood that actually keeps up with my cooking
After replacing a cheap hood that could barely handle boiling water, this Zomagas unit has been a genuine upgrade. Installation took me about an hour working alone, which honestly surprised me given how smoothly everything lined up. The slim profile fits nicely under my cabinets without feeling cramped, and the stainless steel looks sharp next to my appliances.
The suction power on the highest setting is no joke. My partner fries a lot of fish and chicken, and this thing clears the kitchen noticeably faster than anything we’ve had before. The three fan speeds give you real flexibility too. Low is quiet enough that you can hold a conversation without raising your voice, and even the high setting isn’t obnoxiously loud for 800 CFM.
The baffle filters are probably my favorite part because they just go straight into the dishwasher. No scrubbing, no soaking, no dealing with grimy mesh. The two LED lights cover both burners evenly, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve cooked under a hood with one sad little bulb in the middle.
The only thing worth mentioning is that the push buttons feel slightly plasticky compared to the rest of the hood, but they work perfectly fine and haven’t given me any trouble. For the price, this hood punches well above its weight and I’d recommend it without hesitation.
well made, nice buttons
This is the 3rd or 4th Zomagas appliance I’ve had the chance to review, and I’ve gotta say, I’m impressed! For the price, these are some of the best quality I’ve seen. I have not installed this hood yet so I can’t comment on the noise level and suction, but looking at all the pieces and instructions, I can tell that installation will be simple and on par with every other major brand. The hood itself is heavy, with thick stainless that doesn’t wobble or warp. The buttons are surprisingly good quality and feel really good to press. I like that there is no display or complex electrics. This is a really solid choice, especially for this price! It’s designed to fit over a 30″ standard range or cooktop.
