Love it and highly recommend i
I absolutely love the large screen, it comes with ibis paint but I rather use Infinity painter or Hipaint and still works wonderfully. I also the screen modes paper and digital pape
Great tablet, I agree with all the 5 stars. I’ve bough 3 for the adults in my family with discerning taste in tech. This tablet with it’s current configuration is by far the best performance for the money.
It keeps up with JW.org Library loaded with a few Gigabytes of video and publications and the Flat Equalizer – Bass Booster v6.3.4 (play store) to balance out the 4 speakers out puts. It sounds nice enough to play videos for people.
Now I know that I can extend my PC desktop with it for graphic designing!
I’m going to recommend this to the philanthropists in my surrounding congregations to help those in need of a good tablet. Keep up the good work UGEE!
The battery life on this device is fantastic. While using it I can get about 5-6 hrs before needing to charge it, but I also use krita on it which is heavy on battery use. On standby, this devices battery life seems never ending. I have set it down for 3 weeks at a time forgetting to turn it off, and returned to it still charged, with about 20% battery life left. Now the pen, I don’t think I have ever had that die on me while using it. The pen is also incredibly comfortable to use bc it feels like a real pen. I love this tablet, it’s underrated. It is easily on par if not better than apple tablets. The screen has a paper feel, which makes drawing feel so nice, the screen is huge, and the pen is so nice and has a magnetic rest on the side of the tablet. The only issue I have is when unlocking my screen. I use a pin, and the swipe function to get to the lock screen is a bit finicky and it can get frustrating but easy fix for that is remove the pin lock. I recommend this tablet to anyone.
I was skeptical but went ahead and purchased the UGEE UT3 (Trio Pad/Fun Drawing Pad – both are the same product). It arrived quickly (next day) and was very well packaged. Not only was the tablet in it’s own box, but that was in the primary product packaging box, and that, too, was in another box. The outside box had it’s own padding inside to protect the contents. The second-tier box had padding, too. The final box with the tablet also had padding on the lid directly over the actual tablet. This thing was very well protected and I appreciated it.
The tablet fired right up and the pen was instantly recognized. After getting it all set up (Wifi, etc.) I was ready to go! The pen didn’t need calibration out of the box as the pen cursor matched perfectly to the pen. Nice! The screen is bright and the colors vibrant. Again … nice! Firing up a drawing app (I’d downloaded Infinite Paint for my test), I found the UGEE UT3 to be very responsive and noticed no real lag at all. For sketching and painting, this is a great tablet! Before receiving it, I was prepared to not like it and was ready to return it. Now? Well, there’s no way I’m returning this tablet! It’s that nice.
I’ve had the XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad (MDP). And while that’s a nice tablet, it falls short (IMO) when compared to the UGEE UT3. The UT3 has a 14″ screen compared to the MDP’s 12″. The UT3’s screen resolution is higher. Unlike the MDP, the UT3’s pen cursor is properly calibrated so you don’t need to offset it (like you do in the MDP). The UT3’s CPU is more robust than the one that ships with the MDP. The UT3 uses Android 14 while MDP is stuck on 12. Overall, the UT3 is just … better. It’s even less expensive than the MDP.
Having said that, there’s a few areas where it falls short:
– The pen needs to be charged. This is not the case for the MDP (and some other drawing tablets).
– There is no expansion slot for micro SD cards to expand storage.
As with any Android tablet, you’re ‘stuck’ using Android apps. However, there are a few great apps that allow you to use your Android tablet as an extended monitor for your PC or Mac. I tested EasyCanvas 2025, an app that does just that (makes the tablet an extended monitor for my PC). I was able to use my PC’s software as if the UT3 were a wireless Wacom pen display! Fantastic!
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
Another reviewer said there was no warranty. Well, mine came with a warranty card right in the box. UGEE is not a shady company. The parent company, Hanvon UGEE, owns both XP-Pen and UGEE.
I’ve been holding off on purchasing a tablet for sheet music for years, since I haven’t been able to find one big enough to read music comfortably without spending more money than I was comfortable with spending on an experiment.
The screen is MASSIVE compared to any other tablet I’ve seen in person, and cropping the extra white space off of PDFs makes the staves nearly the same size as the physical sheets. The matte finish is comfortable for writing and is pretty good against glare. I like the option to change color mode to prevent eyestrain, and it gets plenty bright, so I’m comfortable taking this onstage for performance. I also love that it only takes up half of a music stand, so I don’t have to bring my little shelf onstage for my extra gear.
Pairs well with Bluetooth devices, which means a page turning pedal works just fine. There is the slightest delay when turning pages, but I saw similar complaints posted to the foot pedal reviews. Not that big of an issue if you plan accordingly!
Battery life is great, I’ve yet to dip it below 50% after hours of use. Leaving it on standby, it lost something like 5% charge from 5pm-9am, but charges super quickly with the included turbo charger.
The stylus is ok. It’s comfortable enough to hold, and I like that it “turns off” when not in use, but that also means you have to click the side button to wake it up when you’re ready to use it. It seems like the drawing point doesn’t always line up with the tip correctly, so it’s not super precise. Good enough for my purposes, but may be a drawback for others.
Performance seems good, but I’m not super technical about that kind of thing. It loads my sheet music app fine and works well for streaming videos. If you’re an android user, your familiar enough with how this works, and most of the settings are the same.
The case is good, but is maybe a little slipperier in table top mode than I would like. If the little feet aren’t in one of the grooves, it’ll slide till flat. I’m sorry to say it took me way too long to figure out how to fold it into drawing mode, but it works great for that!
It’s maybe a little heavier than I thought it would be, but not unreasonably so. Still lighter than a folder full of music!
Overall, I’m very pleased with my experience so far! I’ve only had it for a few weeks, so we’ll see if performance and battery keep up. I’ll update the review if needed. For now, I give this a 9/10, would definitely recommend to other musicians as an alternative to the more expensive tablet options!
Fantastic Value
Arrived extremely well-packaged. Be prepared for a pass-the-parcel style unpacking with the boxes. This is great, as it meant the tablet was very well protected. It came with the pen, extra nibs, a drawing glove, and charger. It feels like drawing on paper, which is strange but familiar at the same time. Accuracy is pretty good so far, there are a couple of moments where it doesn’t line up, but overall it’s good. The value for money for this size standalone tablet (14″) with everything it has is fantastic! Highly recommend.
Got this as a birthday gift for myself, and I do not regret my purchase. :D
I was looking for a table that I could use for digital art, creativity and something with good lasting storage for school. I received it last October so I’ve had the tablet for about 3 months now and I am happy with my purchase. The pen is still functional like new, the button response and the quality is amazing, the volume is great, and the battery lifespan is really good. Depending on the art App you get, the stroke quality is very good. in my opinion it’s better than a keyboard. I was skeptical for making the purchase at first, but now I am happy to say that it was worth the money.
Great product!
This is an excellent drawing tablet. What I love the most are perhaps the size and easiness to use. Excellent screen and it serves different purposes. I was a bit worried about ordering this online, but I don’t regret my purchase and I’m more satisfied than what I expected.
Best purchase ever. This thing is huge! Which is great for drawing as well as watching movies, or signing documents.
There’s no trouble charging or loading up, and the sensitivity is great.
I’m sad it doesn’t have an earphone/headphone jack, but that’s a minor thing.
