    Nice Accessory for your Traege
This is a pretty nice add on for your Traeger grill. The picture shows a flattop griddle surface on one view, but then there is grill grates on another side – so yes, this tool is great for both. I have not used on my griddle yet, as that is packed away – BUT, i do know i use water and microfiber cloths to steam and clean my griddle but those clothes get hot and your hand is right next to the steam! So i look forward to trying this tool.

I will speak about using it on my Traeger smoker grill grates. I use the bamboo scraper on my grill to eliminate any chunks but the grates are always left a little dirty – now when grilling lots of things this is flavor! don’t get me wrong.
But when I do burgers tonight and chicken tomorrow or fish, I don’t want that flavor.

This tool, does not use bristles so no worry for steel getting in your food and does not damage the enamel on the grates. After using the scraper, i followed the instructions to soak the block in cold water, it holds some water for when you work it, so that is okay. I started on the grill, and to my surprise it worked great!

The surface was quickly cleaned and ready for the next day. Its never going to make the grill grates perfect, unless you scrub around the edges (so don’t expect that) the tool is designed to clean the cook surface.

I give it a 4 start for a few reasons – nothing of which reduces the rating any lower though.

    (1) the handle is a little flimsy and could have been designed instead of a flat steel maybe a half-moon, this would allow for even a single hand use – however, when you use the pommel to press down the handle works perfectly to guide the work surface back and forth easily.

    (2) the attachment, which i will call the sponge seems pretty durable, the material was more rugged that i expected and seems it will hold up under the cleaning action. HOWEVER, the instructions say to clean and toss it in the dishwasher. We did that, on the top shelf, and I was not impressed with the cleaning after a 2.5 hour cycle. I will try again on the lower section, but i think running this through the dishwasher might be a little farfetched. I shared some pictures of the sponge after one use.

    (3) i do not see replacement sponges yet, the tool is designed that when this one gets real bad, you just replace the sponge…I looked on Traeger’s site but it was not obvious.

    (4) value for your money, what can i say, Traeger makes good quality stuff, this one is a little more than other no-name brands, but they also stand behind their products. I would definitely spend the extra 10 bucks and get this one.

Perfect addition to Traeger porcelain covered grates and griddles...steam power!
This Traeger Steam N’ Clean grill brush is a good “safer way to clean” option if you’re done messing with wire bristles. It’s bristle free, and it’s designed to work while the grates are hot so you’re not spending your whole life scraping cold, crusty buildup.

Functionally, it works best exactly how it’s intended: heat up the grill, add a little cold water for the steam effect, and scrub. The steam helps loosen the stuck on stuff, and the brush head does a nice job clearing the grate without feeling like you’re grinding metal on metal. It’s also a good match for porcelain grates and flat top griddles where you want to be a little gentler than you would with a super aggressive wire brush.

Design wise, the replaceable head is a great feature. Once the cleaning surface wears down, you don’t have to toss the whole handle, just swap the head. And being dishwasher safe is a real convenience because grill tools get gross fast, and it’s nice to actually be able to clean the brush itself without a whole scrub session.

A couple things to know: bristle free brushes can feel different at first, and they usually work better after a little practice. Also, they’re not always the fastest on heavy, rock hard burnt buildup. You’ll get the best results if you clean regularly instead of waiting until your grates look like a fossil. And like any “replaceable head” product, the long term value depends on replacements being available and in stock. I like to buy several to keep on hand in case I can’t find them anymore.

Overall, it’s a solid Traeger accessory if you want a bristle free brush that’s effective on hot grates, plays nicely with porcelain and griddles, and is easy to keep clean.

Effective Bristle-Free Steam Cleaning Grill Brush
As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I’ve owned a lot of Traeger products and smokers over the years, and they have never let me down. When this BBQ Steam N’ Clean Grill Brush arrived, I was curious to see how it would compare to traditional bristle brushes I’ve used in the past. After several weeks of regular use, I can honestly say the quality is fantastic, and it has quickly become one of my favorite grill maintenance tools.

The brush is completely bristle-free, which immediately sets it apart. Instead of metal bristles that can break off and contaminate food, it uses a durable, steam-cleaning head with a textured surface that safely scrubs hot grates. I’ve used it on my Traeger’s porcelain-coated grates and flat top griddle, and it removes grease and carbon buildup effectively without scratching or damaging the surface. The ability to use it on hot grates right after cooking is a big advantage — it softens and lifts residue much faster than waiting for the grill to cool.

The replaceable head is a smart, practical feature. When the head eventually wears down, swapping it out is simple and cost-effective. The handle is comfortable and well-balanced, with a good length that keeps my hands safely away from the heat. After multiple uses and trips through the dishwasher, the brush head and handle have held up beautifully with no warping or degradation.

What I find most insightful is how this brush has simplified and improved my grill cleaning routine. In the past, I’d dread the chore of scraping grates, especially with the worry of loose bristles. This steam-cleaning design removes that concern entirely while delivering better results. It makes maintenance faster, safer, and more effective, which means I’m more likely to keep my grates properly cleaned — leading to better-tasting food and longer grill life.

For the price, this cleaning brush offers great value for the price. It performs like a premium tool while remaining affordable and practical for regular home use. The quality is fantastic, which is exactly what I’ve come to expect and appreciate from Traeger.

I love this brand, and this Steam N’ Clean brush is another example of why. It’s thoughtful, well-made, and genuinely useful in real-life grilling situations. If you own a Traeger or any grill with porcelain or flat top surfaces, I highly recommend adding this brush to your routine. It’s a small investment that makes a noticeable difference in how easily and safely you can maintain your grill.
