This bio filter system helps to keep the water clean and inhibits the growth of algae. It keeps the water clear without the use of any chemicals. Used in combination with a submersed pump that pushes the water into the filter and back out again directly into the pond or a water feature like a fountain. I has a back-flush feature that helps keep the internal foam filters clean. In colder climates where freezing is possible it must be removed during those times.

I’ve been through three different pond filters in the last two years and this one from Three Seconds is genuinely impressive. I have a roughly 700 gallon koi pond with six fish and the water clarity has improved noticeably within just a few days of running this thing.
The flow at 1580GPH is strong and consistent, which is what I needed. The four-layer filter cotton setup actually makes sense, the coarser 25 ppi foam catches the bigger debris before it ever reaches the finer 30 ppi layers. Smart design. The cleaning process is also dead simple, just twist the knob and rotate the handle until the discharge runs clear. Takes maybe two minutes.
The 13W UV cleaning light is a nice bonus for keeping algae under control. My previous filter had no UV at all and green water was a constant battle.
The quick-prime feature worked on the first try, which honestly surprised me given my luck with these things.
One thing to note is that the included hose connectors fit a little snug and took some effort to seat properly, so have some silicone grease handy. Minor inconvenience but worth mentioning.
The cord is a generous 10 feet and feels well made. Overall this is a solid, well-thought-out pressure filter at a reasonable price point.
