I have to wait to install these lights because our state is experiencing an extreme drought. The ground is so hard that I can’t bury the wiring needed for the lights. However, I’m familiar with installing these lights, and I’ve used this brand before, so I know exactly what I need and how they work.
I made sure to get the right landscape transformer: SUNVIE 300W Low Voltage Landscape Transformer . Before I even get to the transformer, I made sure to purchase the right tools I’ll need. I need to run wiring under a sidewalk, so I bought Auger Drill Bit for Planting 3 Pack with Extension that attaches to my drill. This will allow me to fish the wiring underneath the sidewalk.
As for the wiring, I always use SUNVIE 12/2 Low Voltage Landscape Wire 250FT . I stick to this wiring because I know it’s reliable and I’ve used it before.
Each of these lights comes with wire connectors, and this is my first time using the FastLock2 connectors. They connect in a similar way to the connectors I’ve used with other SUNVIE lights. I like that I’ll be able to use these lights on the opposite side of the sidewalk from the landscape. With their anti-glare feature, they’ll light up the walkway nicely, providing the perfect amount of illumination.
Once I’ve lined up all the lights and the wiring under the sidewalk, I’ll connect it to SUNVIE 300W Low Voltage Landscape Transformer . This will allow the lights to come on when the sun goes down and turn off when the sun comes up.

I added these to a low-voltage lighting system around the yard to highlight a few trees and landscaping features. During the day they’re barely noticeable since they’re installed flush with the ground, but once the sun goes down they add a lot more depth to the space.
The light is warm and focused rather than harsh. Instead of flooding everything with brightness, they create accent lighting that draws attention to specific areas. The anti-glare design helps too since you’re not getting blasted with light when walking past them or looking across the yard.
Installation was about what I’d expect for low-voltage landscape lighting. The included connectors helped speed things up, and once everything was wired and buried, the setup looked much cleaner than using stake-style lights scattered throughout the garden.
After a few evenings, the yard felt noticeably different. The trees, plants, and pathways stand out more, and the lighting adds character without making the space look overly lit. It’s the kind of upgrade that tends to get noticed more at night than during the installation process.
This set of lights look fantastic, control their light easily, casting it onto the walk-way’s surface without glare and are easy to install. They are a stand-alone set of lights, requiring a transformer, wire and not much else to get them up and shining.
We (hubby, really) installed them along the pathway from the house to the barn/shop. We live in a dark-skies area and so when we can we try to be constant with this goal. So, lights like this that are not too bright, but provide more than enough light to see our way, are a wonderful addition to our existing low voltage lighting design.
These lamps are very well-made for their long-term use in the ground, with solid metal construction and a water-proof housing. The wiring connectors are equally up to the task of lasting for a good long time and as we have had this run of cable in the ground for a while, all he had to do was dig up the parts of it he wanted to connect, wipe it off and screw the connectors on.
Easy as pie and since we’ve had similar connectors in the ground for a few years now it is our opinion that they are well designed. All this adds up to a fantastic value for anyone who likes this kind of lighting as well as long-lasting solutions. I would whole-heartedly recommended this set to anyone who Eans to se their path-way in the dark without excess light being read around the yard.

These landscape lights made a huge difference in my yard at night. The brightness is just right, giving the garden a clean, elegant look without being too harsh. Installation was simple, and they feel sturdy enough to handle the weather.

A few years ago I added low-voltage landscape lighting around our house, and we have really liked the look. It makes the house look better at night, adds some visibility around the property, and gives the outside of the home a more finished appearance. I have wanted to add more lights for a while, especially around our driveway, but I had not fully decided what style to use or where to place them. When I saw this 12-pack of low-voltage landscape well lights, I decided to try them.
After looking them over and bench testing a couple of them, I am very happy with the set so far. I have not completed the full driveway installation yet because it is going to be a pretty large job. These are in-ground style lights, so the real work is not plugging them in and checking the light output. The bigger job will be planning the layout, running enough low-voltage cable, cutting or digging the right locations, setting the lights at the proper height, and making sure everything drains and sits correctly. I already have low-voltage transformers in place from my existing landscape lighting, so the next step for me is ordering enough cable and deciding the final spacing.
The set arrived in a large SUNVIE box marked as a 12-pack. The box also lists several key specs right on the front, including 5 watts, IP67, and 500 lumens. Inside, the lights were packed in bubble wrap, and the kit includes the lights, user manual, and a sealed bag of Fastlock2 connectors. I like seeing the connectors included because low-voltage landscape lighting can turn into a much slower job if you have to separately source all the connectors or splice everything manually.
The Fastlock2 connectors are one of the biggest advantages of this kit for me. I do not mind wiring, but for landscape lighting, I would rather not cut, strip, splice, and seal every connection if I do not have to. These connectors should make the installation much faster and cleaner. I still plan to be careful with placement and make sure each connection is seated correctly, but having included connectors is a real benefit when installing a full 12-light run.
The lights themselves feel better than I expected. The top section has a solid feel, and the finish looks clean. The listing describes the material as aluminum and plastic, which matches what I am seeing. The upper shielded portion feels like the more durable part, while the lower buried housing appears to be plastic. I would prefer all-metal housings, of course, but for this style of in-ground light, the plastic lower body does not bother me too much because most of it will be below grade. The visible portion is what I care about most cosmetically, and that part looks good.
The anti-glare shielded design is a good fit for where I plan to use these. I do not want bare light shining straight up into people’s eyes when they pull into the driveway or walk nearby. These have a curved hood that directs and controls the light more than a fully open uplight. Based on my bench test, they still put out plenty of light, but the shield keeps the beam more controlled. For driveway edges, garden borders, and path areas, I think this is a better design than an exposed round lens.
The light color is also exactly what I wanted. These are 3000K warm white, and they look bright without having that harsh blue-white color that I dislike in landscape lighting. I want outdoor lights to look warm and inviting, not like a parking lot or warehouse. The photos I took of the lights powered on show the warm tone well. They are bright enough that I think spacing will be important. I do not want to over-light the driveway, so I will likely test placement before committing to every hole.
Brightness is very good. These are listed as 500 lumens per light, and based on my bench testing, they are definitely not weak. For small accent lighting, they may be more light than some people need. For a driveway edge, larger bed, tree, wall, or broader landscape feature, the output makes sense. I would not aim these straight toward a seating area or anywhere people will look directly into them. Used correctly, the brightness should be a benefit.
The IP67 rating is also important for this style of light. In-ground lighting has to deal with rain, wet soil, mulch, freezing and thawing, sprinklers, and general outdoor exposure. I cannot confirm long-term waterproof performance yet because I have not had these installed through weather, but the design appears to be made for outdoor installation. The wire entry area, lower cup, and sealed light assembly all look like they were designed with ground placement in mind. Long-term outdoor durability is the main thing I still need to prove after installation.
I also like the size. These are large enough to feel like real landscape fixtures, but not so large that they will look awkward around a driveway. The lower housing should be manageable to set into soil or a prepared bed, although installation will still take some time if you want them level and evenly spaced. Since I plan to sink these at ground level, I will be paying close attention to drainage. I do not want them sitting in a low spot where water can collect around the fixture.
One detail I noticed is the visible screw on top. The screw is not a dealbreaker, and it is normal for this style of fixture, but it is visible. The close-up photos make this easier to judge. The top finish looks good overall, but buyers who want a completely seamless decorative fixture should be aware that this is a functional outdoor landscape light, not a hidden designer fixture. For my driveway, the look is more than acceptable.
The included pigtail lead gives enough wire to work with when placing the light and making the connection. I will still need to buy the main low-voltage cable for the full run, and buyers should remember that this set does not include the transformer or the main cable. If someone is starting from nothing, they will need a low-voltage transformer, enough outdoor-rated cable, and a plan for layout and load. Since I already have transformers, this set fits nicely into my existing setup.
For value, I think this is a strong set. At the cost at the time of my review, getting 12 warm white low-voltage well lights with connectors included seems fair. Landscape lighting can get expensive very quickly, especially when buying individual fixtures, transformers, connectors, and wire. These are not the highest-end all-metal professional fixtures, but they also are not priced like that type of product. For a homeowner who wants to add a full run of driveway, garden, path, or accent lighting, this set gives you a lot to work with.
The only reason I am not calling this perfect yet is that my full install is still pending. Bench testing tells me the lights work, the brightness is good, the color is nice, and the parts look decent. It does not tell me how they will look after being buried, how the finish will hold up, how the seals will handle weather, or how the connectors will perform after a season outdoors. Based on what I have seen so far, I expect them to work well, but I want to be fair about what I have and have not tested.
Overall, I think this is a very good 12-pack of low-voltage landscape well lights. They are bright, warm, attractive, and better built than I expected for the cost at the time of my review. The included Fastlock2 connectors are a big plus, especially for a larger install. I plan to use these around my driveway, and I am looking forward to seeing the finished result once I get the cable run and the lights placed. If they hold up well after installation and weather exposure, this set would be very easy to recommend even more strongly.

The first thing that struck me is that these lights are much smaller than typical landscape well lights. These are barely 3 inches high and about 3.25 inches across. That means that you can squeeze them into smaller places than traditional well lights, but since the light is concentrated in a smaller area, it’s harsh if you look right into it. Also, it is not completely apparent from the pictures, but these lights do not illuminate upward, they illuminate downward or horizontally. The idea is that these are used to illuminate a pathway rather than landscaping or a structure.
They’re bright! The label says 5 watts and I believe it. 5 watts on a small LED is blinding, so I angled these downward toward the pathway I was illuminating. At first I set them completely level, but it caused too much glare when walking down the pathway. Installation is a simple 5 minute task if you have 2 conductor zip-style landscape cord nearby. Simply separate the 2 conductors and twist on the included self piercing wire taps. That’s it. Hooked up to my existing 12vac lighting transformer with no issues.
Construction wise, these lights are 100% plastic. They should last fine outdoors but they are noticeably of lower quality than the all metal options out there. I would not put them anywhere that they’ll be run over. Ideally they’re half buried and you see just the light coming out.
Value – at about 10 bucks apiece these are the cheapest lights out there. You could probably spend an extra 5-8 bucks per light and get a higher quality but if you’re looking to light up a lot of space this set is a pretty good deal
