Versatile Solar Ground Lights with Great Color Options and Reliable Performance
****EDIT (05/26/2026) — After owning these for 12 days, I’m changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. The reason: the product claims these can withstand up to 200 kg (440 lbs), and now I’m seriously questioning that claim.

After only one week, several of the ground stakes have already broken from my maintenance crew mowing the lawn. The small plastic tabs (“nipples”) that slide into the light housing snapped off and are now stuck inside the mounting holes, so the lights can no longer be secured into the ground properly.

The lights themselves are still working perfectly fine, but the ground stakes are another story. I think metal stakes would have held up much better in this situation.

At this point, I’ll either need to make my own replacement stakes or relocate the lights entirely and use the included double-sided tape to mount them onto hard surfaces like my porch instead.****

I have quite a few solar decorations because they can be placed almost anywhere in your yard (as long as there’s sunlight), making them very versatile without the need for electrical connections.

I ordered these Pouwdl LED solar ground lights to add edge lighting along my driveway. The goal was to create a decorative pathway leading up to my house, while also helping guide me when backing in at night—especially with tinted windows that make it harder to see. These have definitely helped keep me off the grass.

Lights

Each light offers 15 solid color options: warm white (3000K), natural white (4000K), daylight white (6000K), red, green, dark blue, orange, light green, mid blue, purple, yellow, sky blue, dark purple, light orange, and teal. These are projected through 8 LEDs (RGBWW) with a lens design that produces a more focused, 90-degree beam.

In addition to static colors, there are two RGB modes:

* Fade mode — smooth transitions between colors

* Jump mode — instant color changes

The lights also have a memory function, so they retain your last selected setting—no need to cycle through modes each time.

These lights are rated IP67, meaning they are fully sealed and can handle temporary submersion (up to 1 meter for about 30 minutes). They’ve had no issues with the heavy rain we’ve experienced throughout April, including downpours.

They are advertised as being able to withstand up to 200 kg (440 lbs). While that may be true, I wouldn’t recommend testing them with a lawn mower—the weight might be fine, but the blades are another story.

Mounting

There are two installation options:

1. Ground stakes (my preferred method): Simply cross-join the two stake pieces and insert the post into the base of the light. Be careful when removing them—I broke one post during removal, though the light still works.

2. Double-sided tape: Allows mounting on flat surfaces like concrete, wood, or metal.

Remote

The included remote is straightforward to use. It allows you to:

* Cycle through colors

* Switch between RGB modes

* Turn lights on/off

It works up to about 50 feet away. From a distance, it can control all lights at once; when pointed directly at a specific light, you can control them individually. I added Velcro to mine so I can keep it in my garage and avoid losing it.

Charging / Runtime

The lights require about 4–6 hours of sunlight to fully charge and can run between 10–20 hours depending on the mode and color used. I’ve tested them on static colors (white, daylight, and blue), and they’ve consistently lasted all night. I haven’t tested fade or jump modes extensively, but I expect similar performance.

Final Thoughts

Overall, these are excellent decorative lights that offer flexibility in both function and appearance. I’m using mine along the edge of my driveway, and they’ve been very helpful for nighttime visibility while also adding a nice visual touch.

While I don’t personally use the RGB fade or jump modes much, they’re a fun option—especially for events or seasonal decorating (e.g., orange for Halloween or red/green for Christmas). They would also look great around a pool or patio for added ambiance.

Keep in mind these are not high-output floodlights. They’re meant to be accent lights, providing a soft glow that helps guide your path without being overly bright. As long as expectations are set accordingly, they perform very well.

At $39.99 (at the time of review), they’re reasonably priced. While slightly more expensive than basic white-only options, the added RGB features and remote control make them worth it if those features matter to you.

Star Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Despite breaking one of the ground stake posts, I’m still giving these 5 stars. Realistically, they’re closer to 4.5 stars, but the functionality, design, and overall build quality of the lights themselves justify rounding up. I’ll continue testing them through the hotter months to see how they handle prolonged UV exposure and will update if needed.
