Love this faux rock- it rocks! Yup i went there
This rock is part of a pair now because I got another one that was just like this and liked it so much that I got another to match it. These things are awesome, truly, they are so real looking and even though people comment on them they don’t realize they’re faux until you say something and then they say no way way! And they touch it and can’t believe it so that is a testament to how the look and weight really speaks for itself. The quality of this rock is next level and the fact that it comes with metal spike similar to those that come with tents to stick it down to the ground is even better. Overall, this is a high quality rock decor that is made well, has a great weight to it, looks good and can be used it several areas to enhance your space. It’s a great value for the money and I highly recommend it.
Just What I Was Looking Fo
I was looking for something to cover a protruding pipe placed right next to my parking pad when this one showed up in my suggestion feed, and I wanted to give it a try. I was so happy when I received it and found it to be the perfect fit. Not only is it a great fit, but it is also made of a thick material designed to withstand the elements—just don’t expect it to survive a car hitting it!
I’ve found quite a few qualities that make this worth the investment. For starters, it is really lightweight and effortless to install. It weighs just over 4.4 lbs. You don’t need any tools; one person can easily move and position this hollow rock right over whatever you’re trying to hide. It’s a perfect DIY solution.
The exterior dimensions are a solid size at about 10.4″ L x 9.8″ W x 9.2″ H. To keep it from blowing away, it’s actually wind-resistant thanks to a pair of ground stakes. They are essentially heavy-duty long nails that anchor the rock into the soil. You just push them through the pre-drilled holes at the base, and the cover stays put through storms or the occasional accidental bump.
What I really appreciate is the realistic natural sandstone appearance. It has a genuine texture and earthy tones that blend right into the lawn or garden. I most definitely will not take stars off because I hit it with my car. That is not the manufacturer’s fault. While it lasted, it definitely did its job. And, I did not need to stake it into the ground. I just sat it over the utility pipe, and it stayed there on its own. I am so bummed that I ran it over and now I’m back to using an ugly, gaudy yard cone.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this if you have an eyesore in your yard you’ve been wanting to hide. While it might seem a little on the expensive side for a faux rock, the durability and the way it naturally blends into the landscape make it well worth the cost. Just don’t hit it with a vehicle.
Really cool fake rock
I got this fake landscape rock to actually use as a landscape rock. I’ve always wanted a couple of the larger rocks but they are so expensive and so heavy . When I saw these I decided to give it a try. I actually have this one as well as a larger one. They’re not covering or hiding anything. I just have them in the flower bed against the underpinning so there’s protection from the wind. From a distance they look like actual rocks. I have them staked down of course but they look really cool. Unless you actually walk over to them you’d never know they’re fake. Very happy with them. They are a cool thing to hide something unsightly or something that you don’t want anyone to mess with. They look real and they come with the stakes to secure them.
Thick shell, nice coloratio
This is a nice solid faux rock cover. I have other much more realistic covers but this one is definitely more solidly made. The squared dimensions make it more obviously not a rock, but if you need to cover something and have foliage that partially coIvers this, the coloring and striations will blend well. It was larger than I expected given the dimensions in the listing. I’m not sure the included nails are truly long enough to hold it in place in dirt, which is where I plan to use it, although in a lawn I think they should work fine. I have an exposed drain clean-out in my front yard for which this should be a perfect fit. I’ll try the included nails but may end up using something longer to keep it in place.
Looks like a real rock, not a plastic cove
I’ve tried those fake rocks before and they always looked a little off. This one doesn’t. The texture and color are really convincing, especially once it’s tucked into landscaping.
I used it near my pond to cover a small piece of equipment that always stuck out, and it cleaned up the whole area. Now it just blends in like it belongs there.
It’s lightweight, so placing it is easy. I moved it around a couple times to get it just right. Once I staked it down, it stayed put.
This size is great for smaller things like valves or little boxes you don’t want to look at.
Simple fix, but it makes a big difference in how the space looks.
