A comfortable lightweight memory foam , very breathable , great purchase!
This is about 5 inches thick, 15 inches in length, where the little dip in points are where your shoulders are supposed to dip into you and fit into when you lay down, unfortunately, my shoulders were about 2 inches wider than that, and so were my husbands, so they made the shoulder portion to short, for average sized people if you are a tiny person. You know, I have 2 daughters once 5’2 an 110 pounds. The other one is 5 ‘4 & 130 pounds. That would be perfect for them, but anything over that probably is not going to work for you.. It is thick memory foam. It does not get hot. It feels silky soft the zippers on the back. So you can take it off and wash it. I would use cool water and tumble dry. You don’t want it to shrink, do not put this in the washer, but take the cover off to wash, if need be. I personally would put a pillow case over the whole thing. So you don’t have to take the cover off. It stays cool, it has a little pit for the back of your shape of your head to sit in like a little holder, it’s got 2 points for each shoulder. So it’s shaped like the anatomy of the back of your body, it holds your head in place while you sleep. If you’ve ever had a neck injury or neck surgery and you need some stability, this is perfect for you. If you are a hot sleeper, then you don’t want to lay on a pillow that’s going to get heated up because of the memory foam, this has designs where airflow gets through the memory foam, the whole time you’re sleeping. So it still gets plenty of air. The widest part where shoulders go is twenty and a half inches. It’s a very amazing design. This is definitely extremely well put together, well, stitched & sewn product. 5 stars, I would buy this again and I would recommend this. This would make a wonderful gift, this would be perfect if you had any kind of neck surgery or you just can’t find the right pillow. It doesn’t take up a lot of room. It’s easy to cover up under your bed covers. It wouldn’t stick out. There’s no sharp edges. It’s soft silky to the touch, very comfortable and amazing price. You can lay on it and your head will sink in and the memory foam will adjust Adequately for your body type when you get up, it will slowly go back to original shape. It’s easy to clean you. Take a little soap on a cloth, and it’ll come right off. Spills or stains, the material is semi resistant to water. It’s light white and Gray, so it blends in nicely with any body type that you have. it’s not any bright or dark obnoxious colors, but comforting pleasing to the eye, you could even semi sit back or sit up reading a book at night and this would cradle your shoulders and neck comfortably. This product is lightweight.Breathable easy to store away also makes an amazing gift, at an incredible price!
Great pillow - very firm and supportive
I bought the AiSleep Reading Pillow for Bed, Leaning, Lying and Prone and overall I’m really happy with it. It’s very comfortable and gives good support whether you’re leaning back in bed, lying down, or even using it while on your stomach. The shape makes it easy to get comfortable when reading, watching something on your phone, or just relaxing.
The foam feels supportive without being too hard, and it keeps its shape well when you lean against it. I like that it works for multiple positions, which makes it more versatile than a regular pillow.
Overall it’s a great pillow I’d definitely recommend it.
Versatile Lounge Pillow
My son really likes this Memory Foam Pillow. Being a teenager he loves laying in bed to read, watch tv, scroll on his phone and play video games. This is a great support pillow for many different positions. I also have a blanket made by the same company AiSleep and we have been very happy with it so I felt confident it would be a good product. The memory foam is supportive and firm while being extremely comfortable. I love the washable cover, the material is so soft and cool to the touch. We tend to run hot so the breathable material really helps keep you cool. This is a great alternative to your traditional pillows.
Cool pillow to provide support to the head when prone
Generally speaking, I like this pillow. I ordered it for my son, who reads constantly. He uses it mostly as a chin rest, with his arms wrapped around it (as seen in one of the photos attached, though he is holding his cell phone in the pic).
The “pillar” or upright part of the cushion provides strong, yet flexible support for your chin or back, depending on your position. It is made from soft, comfortable material, and the fact that the cloth is removable and machine washable is a very nice feature. It does take a little time to replace the cloth case once removed, due to having to align it to the form of the cushion.
If there is anything I can say negatively about this pillow, it would be that the chin rest/upright portion is a little stiff, but it has to be to provide ample support. Also, if you’re sitting on it and using it for back support, you can’t really lean back with all of your weight, unless you are smaller than I am. Aside from those things, it works as advertised, and is not a bad pillow. Perhaps priced a little high for what it is, but it depends on your needs.
Allows face-down spinal alignme
The weird shape of this pillow allows for all kinds of configurations, one of which is similar to a message therapy table that allows you to rest your face through a hollow pillow. It’s actually a very relaxing position for your spine if you can place it all properly. I have been testing it out and find myself sleeping soundly in this position for the first time in my life. It alleviates sleep apnea and because it allows me to smooth my facial features before hitting the pillow, it represses my frown lines. It’s basically like using Frownies all night. Great bonus!
Very well built, but this is one of those items you just have to try to see if it works for you.
My neck for the most part, did not enjoy this product. The angle of neck flexion needed to find the “sweet spot” to prop my head off the bed while laying prone, just wasn’t possible to find. The position noted in the ads where the model lays on their stomach and uses the pillow as a prop up while reading also didn’t work for me – too uncomfortable on my neck. My body of course isn’t your body, so 100% your mileage will absolutely differ as to whether all the use cases shown in the ad will meet your needs.
Note that all my testing was done while using my beds mattress (and occasionally my headboard), as a support base.
Two levels of foam firmness are present. The two side “pillows” have a lot of gentle give. When leaning back at an angle, those contact points support your elbows and a small portion of your upper arm. The items ad photos show these areas also being used as a pillow in a side sleeping position. While extremely comfortable, the area was far too small as I’m a restless sleeper and my head didn’t rest on it all night (this is why I deducted a star). A bonafide memory foam pillow is the way to go if you need a spot to actually lay your head for a snooze.
The middle portion is extremely firm and has very little give, though in a semi-seated position leaning backwards, I found I needed a pillow propped between the product and my beds headboard as I carry a fair amount of tension in my back.
The stitching of the pillow is well done. The pillow in no way feels cheap. The outer sleeve also can be unzipped, removed and tossed in the wash if needed.
Overall, the use cases indicated in the ad are something you’ll have to try to see if they work for you. With some minor simple added adjustments using additional pillows, comfort levels can be tweaked.
Improved my sleep
I will be honest, I was very skeptical of this pillow. The shape and feel of it is somewhat unusual, but after a week of using it I have noticed less tension in my neck. As a side sleeper it can be difficult to find a pillow that sits just right and doesnt cause neck pain. I have been very satisfied with this pillow for sleeping so I would solidly recommend it for side sleepers. I really like that the foam bounces back pretty quickly to easily adjust to a different position.
Only giving it 4 stars because I would have appreciated a removable cover included, but otherwise it is a great product, stays put when i switch sides- would give it 4.9 stars if the rating system allowed for it.
Works well for very specific circumstances
This is – as you can clearly see in the pictures – a bizarre looking pillow. You get a central stalk with a spot for your chin sprouting out of a series of lumps of varying firmness.
That central bit is the stiffest of the entire pillow, which is good as that’s what you’re meant to rest your head in while lying on your stomach and wrapping your arms around with soft spots for your forearms. It does, surprisingly, work, and isn’t uncomfortable unless you’re shoving a beard in there.
The rest of the pillow is supposed to be for lounging with back support and it works okay there as long as you’re not too big. But unless you’re doing that or putting your head in it the entire pillow is of limited use as it’s very much meant for those purposes and too awkward for actual sleeping. To its credit, it does work and if that’s what you want it for, go for it.
Cover is technically removable although it’s awkward…and you’re kind of stuck with it as this is so weirdly shaped you’ll never find a pillowcase to fit.
Comfortable Memory Foam Reading Pillow With Good Support and Versatility
I picked up this memory foam reading and support pillow mainly for relaxing in bed and finding a more comfortable body positioning, and overall, the quality is very good.
The memory foam provides good support while still remaining soft enough to feel comfortable for longer periods. It adapts well to different positions and helps reduce pressure in areas like the neck, back, chest, and shoulders. The material also feels fresh and breathable instead of trapping excessive heat.
One thing I noticed is how versatile it is. It works not only for reading or watching TV, but also for supporting the body during massages or while lying face down more comfortably. It can especially help women needing better chest support in certain positions.
The fabric quality feels soft and durable, and the size matches the listing accurately. The pillow keeps its shape well and does not flatten easily during use.
The only downside is the price, which feels slightly high compared to simpler support pillows. However, the quality of the memory foam and overall comfort do help justify part of the cost.
Compared to standard bed wedges, this one feels more adaptable and ergonomic for different body positions.
Overall, a very comfortable and supportive pillow with good material quality and multiple practical uses, just at a somewhat premium price point.
Comfortable for reading in bed
I tried this reading pillow once while relaxing in bed and it felt supportive right away. The memory foam has a nice firmness that holds its shape without feeling too hard. It made sitting up to read and watch videos more comfortable than using regular pillows stacked together. The angle takes a bit of getting used to, but it does help with posture. The cover feels soft and seems easy to remove for washing, which is convenient.
