Reviewing a pool vacuum in a Canadian winter requires creativity, so I filled the bathtub with water and dog hair, which conveniently represents about ninety percent of what our pool actually accumulates, and put this through its paces. The results were genuinely impressive on the performance side, which makes the rest of this review a bit of a balancing act.
On suction power and runtime, this is a five star product. It picked up debris efficiently, and the sixty-minute battery life gives you a solid cleaning window before needing a recharge. For a cordless unit at this price point that is genuinely good performance.
Where I have some hesitation is the material quality. Certain parts feel quite stiff in a way that has me a little concerned about long term durability, particularly around the debris canister. It is not a build quality issue exactly, more of a material choice that gives me pause when handling it. I want to be careful with it rather than confident, and that is a distinction worth noting.
The power switch area is the other thing I want to flag. I like the concept of the switch helping seal the plug area when the vacuum is on, but it still does not feel entirely tight to me. Great little pool vacuum!
I purchased a pool (10′ x 31″) for my grandchildren (4) and of course me. I need something to get the bottom clean. So I did some research on several hand held pool vacuums. I chose this one. It was delivered 2 days early. So charged the battery (no issues with battery life) and then went to vacuuming the pool. Suction was great, easy to use and cleaning performance was awesome. When I went to clean the filter bag ( I used the fine filter bag) it was filthy. I like that it comes with 4 filter bags (2 fine and 2 regular). I’ve used 3 times since purchase and very pleased after each use. Reliability is great! Great value for the money. It does just what I was looking for. Well Worth the purchase.

It does what it says
This thing works great! I’ve used it 4 times so far and it is way better than the siphon vac that I previously had. We have a 12 ft above ground pool and had some sediment building up. I put the fine filter on and it picked it all up. The filter was relatively easy to clean and so far it has great battery life. I just cleaned the perimeter and center seam areas for the 4th time and am still on the 1st charge. I highly recommend it.
Love this!!! Tried two cleaning robots, and those both are worthless for pools that have wrinkles in the liner. They wont go over the wrinkles. So decided to get this. So glad I did. It works perfectly! Sucks up everything! And i was done in like 5 min. So easy! And the long pole is perfect to reach the middle. Im sooo happy! I know wont mind cleaning the pool. Cause before all I had was the skimmer net. That took forever. I hated the pool because of having to clean it. Not anymore
Made cleaning the pool significantly easier.
PROS:
– It has been 1000x better than the vacuum attachment on the pool skimmer.
– Good suction
– Easy to clean
– Light weight
CONS:
– The pole it comes with is laughably short. Luckily, I had a longer one already.
– Two of the bags don’t fit quite right which makes latching the vacuum shut difficult
– The plug cover isn’t totally water tight, so I do have to wait for it to dry before plugging it back in to charge.
Conclusion:
I haven’t had a chance to use it for long but so far so good. We will see if it is durable enough to last. Of all the little problems I’ve had with it, none are deal breakers. I would say I am satisfied with this product.
Perfect for our small pool
So with spring on us it was time to clean out our small kids pool. Honestly nothing huge, maybe 1200L of water. But perfect for our young daughter.
With spring of course comes all kinds of leaf debris. And this vacuum was perfect for our needs.
1. As it’s battery operated we didn’t need a power source outdoors. And we have none to begin with so every time we need power it means running cords out all over the place.
2. A 1200L pool is not huge, but when it comes time to clean, it’s big enough that it’s a pain. This made fairly quick work of it, and allowed us to clean the liners floor, everything.
3. Assembly of the unit was pretty straight forward and took under 5 minutes.
4. Surprisingly the build quality is quite good. Everything felt solid and sturdy and not even remotely cheap in the hand.
Charging took a little over an hour after we drained out the battery which lasted ~45 minutes to an hour. After about 45 minutes we did notice the suction wasn’t ‘as good’, but still good enough.
Overall, if you’ve got a small pool to clean, this should definitely be your go to.

This is a small handheld, rechargeable pool vacuum meant for quick spot cleaning, not a replacement for your full pool vacuum system. It’s the kind of tool you keep by the pool edge for sand, dirt, and little debris that shows up during the day.
It’s still way too cold here to get into the pool, so this is based on first impressions and handling, but so far I’m impressed with the design and build.
Out of the box, assembly is ridiculously easy. It took me about 2 minutes to put it together. Everything clicks into place. There are two handles included, a short handle for use while in the pool, and an extendable handle so you can use it from the deck without getting wet.
Build quality feels very good. The plastic is thick, the parts fit together tightly, and the seals look decent. The electronics are minimal, basically a motor, a switch, and a battery. It’s such a simple design that there really isn’t much here that could fail.
It comes with multiple filter bags, and it looks like there are two different levels of fineness depending on what you’re trying to pick up. Opening the sediment chamber and swapping the filter bag is very straightforward.
I like the idea of this being a “pool dust buster.” When kids are jumping in and out of the pool, sand and dirt stuck to their feet usually settles along the edges and in the corners. This looks like it would be perfect for quickly cleaning up those little deposits without dragging out the full pool vacuum setup.
So far, this appears to be a well thought out, good quality tool, but until it actually gets in the water it’s impossible to comment on performance.
This pool vac is awesome! Great suction and run time, i reallylike the clear vac head so you see everything getting sucked up..super easy to clean and charges pretty fast, I get about 2 solid uses before needing a recharge and we have a 15k gallon inground pool if that helps! Highly recommend this vacuum.
does a decent job for smaller pools/hot tubs
This was our first full year with an above ground pool and we really struggled with the vacuum that came with the initial kit. I picked up this cordless pool vacuum hoping it would make the job easier. Unfortunately, it was ordered in the late winter when the pool was still empty so I couldn’t test it for that. Instead I used it in our hot tub which also has a tendency to attract dirt and sand on the bottom, even when we use it in the winter.
It was quite easy to put together and we found it did a good job of cleaning the bottom of the hot tub. I will admit, I don’t think I will be able to use it with our pool (which is significantly bigger) even with the extension, but I will gladly continue using it for the hot tub.
Overall, it is a good option to clean a hot tub or even a smaller above ground pool.
