No Need to purchase a new grill cover just to have a hood on your Blackstone. I was seriously looking to purchase another cover just to have a hood on my grill, but then, what would I do with the cover I already had????
I purchased this set, so I can now use my flat cover that came with my griddle as a hood, and I don’t have to take it off or set it low on the back the griddle. Hubby got this installed in 5-10 minutes, it was easy to do. Everything you need is included. Handle, side brackets, nuts, bolts, wrench and screwdriver. There were even a few extra pieces in the bag in case you lose a piece.
These are nice heavy pieces, sure to last a lifetime of use! Great metal pieces that are thick and not flimsy! I appreciate good quality pieces!
Because the hinges cause the lid to sit a little higher, it isn’t flush on the grill. But I have a silicone cover on my griddle plate, as well as a nice rugged cover over the unit, so it is all protected against the elements! I think it works well to keep my griddle clean and safe from debris and critters.
The handle is nice and big and fits very well on the front of the lid.
Considering the cost of having to purchase a new cover, the cost of this was amazing!! Exactly what I wanted at a fantastic price! And it fits well, made perfectly for the Blackstone griddles with the flat removable covers.

The kit is very simple and easy to install. I love my Blackstone but I hated the hood. After installing the kit I am very happy with it. It takes a little adjustment to get it to sit right and there will be a gap between the hood a grill top. I cover my BS so that is not an issue.
Looks to be good quality. Well made and installation was simple…except for the fact that one nut was missing from the handle. They were lose in the box when opened. Evidently they are shipped attached to the handle, but had come loose during shipping. One bolt was loose in the box and the nut was gone. I’ll have to make a trip to the local farm supply to get the M4 nut to finish. Other than that simple design that should work.
