I got this for the new ac in my son’s room, but unfortunately, it wouldn’t work in my window. It caused way too big of a gap. However, I plan to take it down to use at my lake property, as I’m sure it will fit my window there. It was super easy to put together! Cones with the tools to put it together. It’s heavy, sturdy, and quality material! Would recommend!
Durable
This AC brace is so simple and yet so necessary. It is very strong and durable without needing to be drilled into your siding and/or window which is especially great for renters. Assembly was easy with clear instructions. I wasn’t able to get a photo of the brace installed with my AC unit because it’s too high, but it looks exactly like the images in the listing. I love it because I know the AC is supported well and the siding isn’t getting damaged. And we get to easily change windows and/or take it with us when we go!
Provides the needed suppo
I am a firm believer that all air conditioner units should have some support. They tend to be bulky and heavy and can create a dangerous situation if there is no proper support around the window area. This air conditioner support bracket is heavy duty and feels solid. I like that these type of support do not require any drilling. Also they are somewhat straightforward to put up and take off as needed. Overall I think this product is good to have if you are concerned about the support on your window air conditioner.
Very sturdy. Excellent Build Quality. More Assembly then expected.
I am impressed with the build quality. Every part is made of sturdy metal. The welds are clean and the finish looks durable. I haven’t installed my air conditioning unit yet this year, but I have no doubt that it will support it securely. I am always worried that the unit might fall out of the window, or that it might put too much stress on my vinyl window, the sill or the frame. This should solve all of those problems. The unit has rubber feet to grip well and avoid damaging my vinyl siding. The length and angle of the feet can be adjusted to ensure they do not fall between the clapboarding and sit on a flat surface instead. The unit also has two thick foam pads to sit on, which should help reduce vibrations and noise, which is a problem I have with my AC unit. My only complaint is that there is a lot more assembly required than I expected. I thought the unit would come as one piece that just needed adjusting, but it arrived in a smallish box containing over a dozen pieces that required assembly, which took some time and effort. The instructions were fine; I just wish it had come assembled. Once assembled, however, it doesn’t need to be done again. Overall, I think the price is reasonable for something that should last a long time and keep your AC unit securely in place.
