Great tent for the price! Good for backpacking short distances. Very spacious.
We really love this tent!

It was so easy to set up. There’s the usual annoyance with tent poles but we’re used to that. These poles seem to click together quite easily though, almost on their own, more so than other tent poles I’ve used, which makes me think they might be magnetic on each end. The poles are also in smaller sections than our coleman tent so they pack down smaller once folded back up.
With two people and glancing at directions, it took us almost exactly 10 minutes to set up for the first time, and that time will decrease as we use it more and get used to the process. One tip is to wait to attach the pole clips until after you’ve put the poles through the sleeves and set them both up.
Breaking it down was even quicker than setting up.

I like that it has two buckles for securing and tightening everything down while it’s packed away. It’s a nice extra detail. It’s also much smaller and more lightweight than our old Coleman 2 person tent, and comparing the two I much prefer this one. The biggest reason is that there’s no separate rain fly to set up. With our old tent I had to choose between airflow or the rain fly because the rain fly covered the mesh top. With this tent you can have both. The one thing I’ll miss is being able to look through the open mesh top to see the stars or birds in the morning, so there is a bit of a give and take there.

The airflow is amazing. Two huge mesh windows and one giant mesh door give you so much airflow, and you still get it even when it’s raining because you can secure the windows open at an angle with the included guy lines. I also like that the guy lines are fluorescent orange so they’re very visible and easy to see, which helps prevent tripping over them.

Once set up this tent has a lot of space for the size of the bundle. There’s a very generous amount of headroom. Length-wise it’s also good, though there does seem to be a bit less space length-wise than our Coleman tent. However this tent is more upright so there’s less of an angled slope towards your face, which makes up for it a bit. In the photos you can see my partner who is 6 ft laying stretched out straight across in his boots, and his head and feet touch both ends (The fabric is a bit bunched up too because we didn’t stake down the tent before this picture!). With camping air mattresses inside there’s a bit less room too, so that’s worth keeping in mind. If you’re over 6 ft I don’t think this will be quite as comfortable for you, but for us it’s great.

The floor is thin, so like with all tents you should put down a ground sheet to protect the floor and prevent water from seeping in. The floor does come up a few inches on the sides to help keep water out, which is a great feature.

The stitching and overall durability seem good. No problems there. Zippers are also easy to use. There are also little bead things to secure the doors and windows open if you’re not expecting rain so you don’t have to use the guy lines. Our coleman tent has these as well and I’m happy to see them on this tent.

Overall I think this is an excellent tent. The price is great, there are a lot of features that ai really like, it’s compact and fairly lightweight for a standard 2 person tent, and it seems to be well made.
