Exactly what I needed!!
These mini spotlights are so hard to fine. The ones that are elevated are even harder to find. I needed to replace a similar light that I purchased over 10 years ago so I could light up my fountain from above. This light is exactly what I needed. When it first came on, it was really red. Thank goodness I went back to the product page to discover that there is a button on the back that changes the light color. One push and the light immediately matched my other light. I’m hoping it will last a few seasons but so far so good!
Tall and slende
These lights a so cool looking. I like how they are tall with the option of pointing them up at a tree or shrub or down to light a pathway. You can also change its color temperature just by pushing the button on the back of the light fixture.
Great Quality - Requires electrical work
This mini LED light is 20 inches tall to about 22 inches if your tilt it upwards. The stake is strong, quality metal that matches the bronze tube and unlike many plastic stakes this will not snap off. The head of the light is small at about 1.5 inches, but should deliver a bright spotlight, which will be perfect for letting our dog out in the evening with a backyard open to wildlife.
The button push on the backside of the head of it is what turns the light on and off. You could also get your transformer set up on a timer if preferred. The metal knob on the side keeps the postion/direction of the light very tightly positioned, which won’t cause any drooping over time.
The long pole is not adjustable, but it is also made from the same, thick, bronze metal. It screws into the head with the light on one end and into the stake at the other. There’s a hole at the bottom near the stake for the electrical wires to come out. To assemble them simply direct the wires through the body of the pole until they come out the other end and then screw the three parts together. The assembly of it light itself is easy. The hook up to power won’t be that simple unless you’re familiar with electrical work.
The price for the light itself is surprising considering that it’s very well made. However, this light is NOT solar or rechargeable or a regular plug in fixture. It requires a bit of electrical work and a transformer if you don’t already have one for outside lighting. For those unaware a setup like that typically costs $100-300, plus the cost of the electrical labor.
The product looks sleek, high quality and very durable. It won’t have an issue with the wind around our home because it is so well made.
I’ve been building out a low-voltage landscape lighting system around my property for a while now, and finding the right spotlight that actually delivers on both performance and durability has been a bit of a hunt. These ZestPatio Mini LED Landscape Spotlights with the 16-inch tall pole genuinely impressed me from the moment I pulled them out of the box.
The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The entire fixture — head, pole, and stake — is die-cast aluminum with a powder-coated bronze finish. This is not the cheap plastic stuff that cracks after one Texas summer bake cycle. The bronze finish looks sharp and blends naturally into garden beds and mulched areas. One note: I’ve seen other reviewers mention the finish can fade to a grayish tone after extended exposure, so I’ll plan to hit it with a coat of Rust-Oleum down the road as preventive maintenance — but out of the box, it looks premium.
The 16-inch-tall pole height is a genuine feature, not just a marketing talking point. Living in an area where weeds, grass, and ground cover can quickly creep up and block a shorter fixture, having that extra elevation keeps the light above the clutter. It makes a big difference whether you’re uplighting a tree, a flag, or illuminating a pathway. I set mine up pointing upward at a young oak in the front yard, and the 60-degree beam angle throws a wide, even wash of light across the canopy without creating harsh hotspots.
The 5CCT feature is where this light really separates itself from the competition. You get five selectable color temperatures — 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K — switchable via a waterproof button on the back of the fixture head. No disassembly required, and it has memory function so it stays on your last setting through power cycles. I’m currently running mine at 2700K for a warm, inviting glow on the tree at night, but I can see switching to 3000K or 4000K if I ever reposition it toward a flagpole or driveway entry. The 2200K setting is an amber candlelight tone that works beautifully in settings where softer light is the goal — really thoughtful to include that option.
Output is rated at 320 lumens through a 5W LED COB chip, running on 12-24V AC/DC. That’s solidly bright for a 5W fixture at this scale — enough to make a visual impact at night without blowing out the scene. The 60-degree beam angle provides good spread for most landscape applications. Installation was straightforward: the included 4-foot extension cord is a nice length, the wire connectors are included, and the ground stake is sturdy aluminum. The fixture uses a standard 1/2-inch NPT thread, which means it’s compatible with a wide range of mounting accessories — gutter brackets, mounting plates, you name it. Just make sure you have a compatible 12V transformer, as one is not included.
Overall this is a well-engineered, versatile landscape spotlight at a fair price point. The all-metal construction, the multi-CCT flexibility, and the tall-pole design make it genuinely more capable than most similarly priced options. Highly recommended for anyone building or expanding a wired low-voltage system.
