Suprised by the quality
This is a beautiful, well made, very bright mirror with good magnification.
I was suprised at just how beautiful the mirror is and how high quality it feels. It is pricey but I feel like the quailty, durability and charging function justify it.
Its pretty straight forward to use. It is very stiff when you go to lengthen it so at first I was afraid I was going to break it because I wasnt sure if there was a special feature you had to use to extend it but its just a simple pull to extend. Once extended it stays put until you push it back down.
The base has good weight to it so it doesnt knock over easily (which was a concern of mine having 3 little ones but we’ve had no issues so far).
The light it easy to charge (charging port in the back). It comes with a cord but no wall brick (pretty common now a days). The cord is super long so it should be easy to find a place to charge. I appreciate the long battery life so I don’t have to charge it often and not having to have another cord plugged in is a huge bonus.
There’s a power button on both the front and back and its super easy to flip through the light options with the button on the front.
The mirror puts out a suprising amount of light and the magnification is great for seeing tiny details. It would be cool if there was a way to switch it from magnified to a normal mirror but its not a deal breaker.
I’m not usually a big gold fan but I think this gold looks stunning in the bathroom.
Id highly recommend for anyone whos looking for good lighting, magnification and a cord free option.
Heavy, 5x is perfect, very upscale, adjustable brightness
I have a mirror similar to this, only it’s one of those that you flip the mirror to get to the magnification side, so one side is regular and the others like 20x. I liked that I had a magnification mirror, but the magnification was always a little bit warped where I would start to get a headache/ nausea when I would look at it too long; clearly, it was the wrong kind of magnification for me.
When I saw this one, I decided to give it a try because maybe 5x was much more in line with what I needed, and I was right. It’s only the 5x and doesn’t have a flip side to see “normal”.
First, this mirror is solid, it’s heavy. It’s not about to tip over anytime soon. It’s easily movable, you can pick it up and move it to a different spot if you need to, you can pull it closer to you if you need to see better. Keeping it the same distance I would have my computer is perfect, without any kind of distortion. There’s nothing to install with it, it comes with a USB C cord and you use that to charge the lights. Charging tool almost no time at all. The on/off button is in the back; that took me a second to find and you adjust the brightness by holding down the button on the front. There’s a second button on the front that allows you to change the light temperature or color. That’s also a nice feature. The battery life lasts for a good long time and that was actually a substantial improvement over my other mirror, because I don’t have to charge it as frequently. I did notice that it turned off automatically after about 30 minutes, but it took only a second to turn back on.
I got the black base because I’m redoing my main bathroom and I’ve opted for matte black finishes and it matches beautifully.
This is definitely more of an upscale product than I would have gotten in the past, but I’m glad I got it because it’s working out wonderfully and adds a touch of class to my bathroom!
Excellent lighted, magnified mirro
TL;DR: Extremely well made. Beautiful. Adjustable brightness, color tone, and height. Excellent magnification. Very stable. Would make an excellent gift.
Good:
* This kit includes a lighted mirror with 5x magnification, a USB charging cord, and a small cleaning cloth.
* This lighted mirror is beautiful. The design features clean, simple lines that look elegant and yet functional. I chose the brushed silver color and I love it.
* The mirror is rechargeable, and the charge lasts a good long time. I haven’t needed to recharge it yet after many days of use.
* Because it is rechargeable, there is no cord to deal with as you are using it.
* There is a small button on the back to turn on the light. There are two touch buttons on the front to adjust the brightness and the color tone. All of these work perfectly, and you can tune the light to exactly what you need. It is incredibly convenient and easy to use.
* The size of the mirror is larger than most, so it is easy to see what you need to see without having to crane your neck.
* The 5x magnification seems stronger than I expected, in a good way. I’ve used other mirrors with higher magnification, so they said, but this one seems like more. Maybe it is due to the increased size of the glass? The glass itself is smooth, clear, and without distortion.
* The height of the mirror is adjustable, so you can raise it by several inches.
* The base of the mirror is good and heavy, so there is no issue with it being top heavy or wanting to tip, even when extended. The bottom includes some non-slip rubber-like material as well.
* The mirror arrived in great shape, packed in molded packing foam and inside a nice cardboard box that would be easy to wrap as a gift.
Not so good:
* Pricey, but probably worth it
Be aware:
* This is a large mirror and will require some space on your counter or vanity top. Check the measurements.
* The USB charging cord is included but you will need to provide the wall plug.
* The mirror is a magnified mirror only; there is no “flip side” to show normal size.
Final thoughts:
* I’m thrilled with this mirror. I have tried multiple lighted mirrors in the past but this is the first one that has really worked well. Even though it is pricey, it is worth it. It would make an exceptional gift.
