The control panel in our Generac went completely blank, so we ordered this to replace it. So far, it’s performing exactly as it should. The screen is easy to read and the buttons are responsive. It displays everything that the old one did – battery, status, etc – and it lets us switch moders. Everything is controlled properly and there is no error codes.
I did not install this panel. In fact, I wasn’t even home when it was done, so I cannot say whether the process went smoothly. I asked my husband, and he said “It was fine once I fiddled with it.” If you understand what that means, you know more than I do. I can say it looks fine and doesn’t stick out.
As of right now, our standy generator is working exactly as it should. Every system and setting is responsive. If that changes, I will come back and update this review. What I do know for sure is that this is an excellent cost saver over buying OEM, having the generator repaired, or – Heaven forbid – buying a new one.
