Product description
Heavy Weight and Durable Set of 4 Outdoor Gazebo Curtains To Ensure Privacy
This is a set of four gazebo replacement curtains. The box when it arrived was very heavy. Please be aware of that if you have any physical limitations. The curtains came zipped together, so I would suggest unzipping each panel on both sides so it is easier to lift once you open the box.
The curtains are a very pleasing creamy white with a touch of beige colored. I am not sure what “soy milk” color is so maybe the description is accurate in the ad. The panels are 12′ W x 10′ L. Each panel has a strong plastic zipper on each side. They are easy to zip and unzip when you want to. The zipper is double sided so you can open the curtain while inside or outside the gazebo.
Included are two bags of different style hooks in black. They are made of plastic. They will get the job done but I don’t think as much attention was paid to the hooks as the curtains. One style is like a shower curtain might have. The other style has a ball on top of the hook to slide into a channel track and it has a hook to slip through grommets . I don’t know the name of that kind of hook.
On to the curtains. The material reminds me of the new fabrics in hotel shower curtains, but far more heavy duty. They are said to be waterproof so of course, I had to try it. With the assistance of a one of my boys, I put one panel into a tub and turned on the shower for a couple of minutes. We turned the water off and lifted the curtain up. All the water drained off. It wasn’t wet, but we were. I guess this was one of those “don’t try this at home” moments.
We often have weeks of rain, so now I will not be concerned with mold forming.
There are thirteen gray metal grommets on each panel, plus they conveniently attached tie backs to the panels. I was a little disappointed on the sewing of the seams. While they were all beautifully stitched, they were not reinforced with a second line of stitching. Since the stitches I felt were not as small as they should have been. There were only 5 stitches per inch which is not enough for this weight and the possible heavy usage they will get. I would have sewn them with 8 stitches per inch and even then, double stitched it.
These curtains, besides being waterproof when closed, they will definitely provide you with a great deal of privacy and protection from rain and wind. They also can be left open to circulate fresh air and to see around you.
If I could find this good quality of materials anywhere I would probably have to pay at least double the price of these and still have to make them. That makes this set of curtains a really great value.
A little long for my 10 x 10 gazebo but decent quality. My main complaint is how far up the zipper lock is at the top, its awkward when trying to connect it.
Admittedly when I 1st opened them in the house the lighting made them look darker and I was pissed. But baby when I got them outside in the sunlight I hung them up and I was in love with them. I would like the material to be a bit thicker but that’s a personal preference. The fabric is very nice for the price. Length is nice and long and the hook options it comes with are great. I hung them in a 10×10 gazebo. Just hung them upon arrival so hopefully I remember to update on how well they wash and last in outdoor weather where I get heat temps upwards of 95 and cold winters with heavy snowfall. Doubt I have them up in snow but who knows what laziness level I might be on hehehe!!!
