    Works for weeds and tilling
    I just went out and pulled a bunch of dandelions with this cultivator. The tines are adjustable to allow for a tight, medium and wide spread. I had the tines set as close as they get so that I could put it right on top of the weed. Then it’s just a matter of giving the tool a quick twist and popping the weed right out. I was using this in the garden bed so I didn’t want to disturb the adjoining good plants, and it didn’t. Then I tried the medium setting on some bare patches of grass. I twisted it in a few times without pulling back so it would loosen the soil (think aerator) so I could spread some grass seed. I expect another crop of crabgrass later in the summer and I think with tines set tight that this should pop them out roots and all. The tool was easy to assemble and use. All the parts are heavy duty so no worries about breakage. We had a lot of rain in the last few days, so conditions were optimal for pulling weeds, but it only pulled the weeds without damaging the soil in the surrounding area. It’s a nice piece of equipment.

    Best Tiller/Cultivator on Amazo
    Very durable tiller/cultivator with a built in footplate that other versions don’t have. I like that the sharp tines are thicker and less prone to bending or snapping. Assembly was very easy and the tool is very versatile with the three different tine settings. I was able to rip through soil in no time!

    Well Crafted and Effective
    Works better than I thought it would in this tough Arizona caliche clay.

    EASE OF USE: The leverage and comfort provided by the handle makes twisting the Garden Claw easy. The foot pedal helps force the claw into the ground. The tines (claws) can be set for three different hole diameters. Each tine is set individually by unscrewing the thumb screw holding it and setting it into the block at a different setting. Assembly was easy. Basic tools are included. The unit drills a hole with little or no soil damage.

    QUALITY: From the soft handle to the overall paint job, the cultivator tool looks and feels high quality. It has given me confidence that it will last a long time. The tines look and feel like cast aluminum and are planted in a solid plastic block.

    VALUE: The Garden Weasel Claw seems a bit pricey. Yes, it’s high quality, but I don’t believe that the quality justifies the high price as of this review.

    Oh yeah this is a good garden tool
    I have had this too over 20 years. I broke one tone on a rock and the mfc. sent a full set of replacements. Cool huh. So i bought a second one as a gift for my daughter who is just starting to garden. This tool is sweet it breaks down for storage and is ine of the most useful garden tools invented for lossening and or turning sole. It easily breaks up hard soil and weeds. Also great for turning and mixing compost. However;
    The garden weasel hoe from the same company is ineffective and not worth the money

    Great for light gardening with a few minor design flaws
    I’ve been using this for early-season weeding and light tilling in my raised beds. It handles both easily, and the integrated foot step makes it simple to drive the tines into the dirt.

    What I Like: It’s affordable, adjustable, and effectively aerates the soil. Being able to change the tine width is a nice bonus, even if the adjustment process is a bit clunky.

    What to Watch For: The handle comes in three pieces; because of this, there is some slight twisting at the joints when you hit resistance. Additionally, the head is made of plastic and attached via a single rivet. While it works great now, I do have some long-term concerns about those stress points failing.

    If you’re looking for a capable, affordable tool for soft or damp soil, this is a great pick.
